They should trade Dak for him. Straight up.
I'd pick him up if they cut him, sure, but now way am I paying the 5 mil/per for the next 2 years.I'm not interested in Lance, but I do concede from a pure raw tools standpoint, he had massive upside.
Big+. Fast+. Very strong arm.
The league chases high ceilings, for obvious reasons. But wow...this guy barely even got his feet wet in college, and was so far from ready.
My hunch is that we're about to see Lance crash out of the league, followed by Anthony Richardson. With Fields or Allen the guys had similar ceilings, but that came with a much bigger body of work and more college success. Theses NFL GMs are crazy gamblers sometimes.
Did you mean to say everything? Lance is 3rd on the QB roster because of how terrible he is.Of course I didn’t. I’d never sit a guy who just went on a 10 game winning streak.
You’re batting hard for Purdy but you are not understanding what I’m saying. Lance should be starting based on how good he was suppose to be. Purdy is hurt last I read. This was suppose to be Lances time to shine and he’s third string. That has nothing to do with how good or bad he is.
Btw, 49ers fans are pissed for what it’s worth. More so about Darnold.
Yeah, no way they get better than a 4th or 5th. He's been awful.I don’t think his price is going to be that low. The niners will want to get more than a Day 3 draft pick in return.
He's not. Hurts is an OK passer. Lance is not.Very good point. They should. He's a raw version of Jalen Hurts. They wouldn't have to change the gameplan.
Wahhhh Cowboys fans want to take the most important position in sports serious but we like Dak wahhhhhhhhhin before the dak crybabies cry about another dak thread.
ah, too late.
Yeah, anyone who watched him should be able to immediately see that this guy has "IT". Same as Brady, same as Joe Burrow.Name me some QBs that came out and won 8 straight games including 2 playoff wins and then never did anything again in their career... as rookies especially.
I actually watched his games... he played incredible. No fluke here.
Dude, Shanahan is the best tutelage you can get in the NFL for a QB.I would take Lance and Kinlaw in a trade I wouldn't trade a 1st 2nd or 3rd for them. I would offer a 4th and a Future pick depending on certain things.
Lance needs to learn under a great tutelage. We haven't had a decent under study in like forever. So he would be decent addition.
Kinlaw isn't bad either. Still young and learning
I dont disagree, but depemding on your QB situation that detrmines what you should do. The Seahawks are in a position to take a shot on him, as are the Bucs.If that's the criteria, then you're referring to about 2/3 of the QBs in the league.
I know.... and this is why I cant take some of the stuff or posters on here seriously. They clearly havent watched Trey Lane and yet they say he needs some tutelage. That dud e was in a perfect situation for a young QB and in two years he never got above SUVKING. Purdy shows up and in 2 months looks like Tom Brady...... sure, it is all about coaching....lolDude, Shanahan is the best tutelage you can get in the NFL for a QB.
If he had been a 5th rounder, would you even be talking about him?If the kid is solid and would not be a distraction, I would be all for kicking the tires. With all the 49ers invested in him to have him 3rd on the depth chart speaks volumes on his performance. Like them or not they are a good franchise and if they are this down on the kid it might not be worth it.
Geno was a very good passer in college. Lance was not.he's not solid and is a distraction. he's no geno miracle comeback smith
LanceGeno was a very good passer in college. Lance was not.
And they also had zero oline. And no one blocking. Look at there team in a hole. If they didn't have Injurys left and right they would be SB Champs alot more then things would seem.Dude, Shanahan is the best tutelage you can get in the NFL for a QB.
