absolutely no reason not to get surgery, I would have that as part of the stipulations. It's probably the equivalent to the pain of an ingrown toenail on the the back of his heel. Inflammation is low, pain is low, don't give it enough time to heal and it inflames some more, pain goes up to the point where you don't even want to put on a sock or shoe.

I would consider Berry if the medical reports are good and he's willing to sign an incentive-laden deal.

But I think the Cowboys would be better off looking at Adrian Phillips, Tre Boston, or George Iloka at this point. All cheaper, all better than Heath.

I don't know about Phillips, but they've already passed on Boston and Iloka before, of course, so doubtful they'll be that enthusiastic on either of those properties.

If health has been an issue for him the past few seasons, i wouldnt know what kind of player to expect. Is he the same eric berry of 3-5 yrs ago(minus the cancer yr.)?. If the money is right then id be ok with it.

Can’t wait till it comes out that we offered him 2-3 million a year with no guarantees

Let's offer a pile of guaranteed money to a guy who missed 29 games the last 2 seasons. What could possibly go wrong?

lol god i hope not. But it happens then it happens. ill add his jersey to the other 80 that i have.

I just dont think he will be available for 16 games.

Do you have a Heath Jersey? If so did you pay for it with money?

Just think, if we sign Berry you can throw out your Heath jersey.

Except the specialist said no need for surgery.
I don't need surgery either on my big toe, even though it's prone to ingrown toenails, really depends on what I wear and what I'm doing. What I'm saying is that he will always have this issue playing football. Sure he doesn't need surgery, but he will suffer from different gradual levels of inflammation and pain, that is guaranteed, if he doesn't get surgery.

The Cowboys did show some interest in Iloka when the Bengals cut him during the season last year (or was it the year before?). Either way the Vikings had a better offer. Maybe losing out on ET changes things.

But a part of me is hoping for Eric Berry. As long as it's a low risk deal if he can't play.

I know there are concerns about his health, age, etc., but I'd just be excited to see that the Joneses are willing to try something to improve this team.
