Must be the new cowboys FA tactic....taking low balling to another level.

I don't need surgery either on my big toe, even though it's prone to ingrown toenails, really depends on what I wear and what I'm doing. What I'm saying is that he will always have this issue playing football. Sure he doesn't need surgery, but he will suffer from different gradual levels of inflammation and pain, that is guaranteed, if he doesn't get surgery.

He did make it back at the end of the season. And most recent specialist said no surgery needed. That's all we can know.

I know we were all hoping that was the case. I don't believe anyone ever reported that, or if they did, I missed it.

Thinking back, thats right i remember the huge storyline about him overcoming cancer and coming back to perform at a high level on the field. Wasnt he comeback player of the year in 2016?

Whether or not that interest remains is another thing. By the time this is over the Cowboys will probably end up bringing Barry Church back.

I don't think it's a factor that can be mentioned too much. It's everything, and it's why the guy is available at all. The Chiefs dumped $30 million into him these past two seasons and got 3 games. If that isn't "buyer beware!", nothing is.

Depending on that, make a decision.

But don't automatically rule it out just on the basis of what you know... I'm reading a whole lot more of that than I am, "go ahead and sign him up."

Now c'mon. You're an intelligent person. The Chiefs were gambling big money on his performance if they didn't release him before 3/15. We and the other teams in the league have no such disincentive to consider him.

He's a big name that will come relatively cheap because of injuries, especially if his contract involves incentives involving playing time. Signing him would make it look like they are making a big move when really they are just trying to save face.

To be honest, luck has played a major part in putting current together. So it's would not surprise me if they sign Berry and watch him have a major impact. It's the kind of luck we've had.....
