I wonder what these posts would look like if he'd signed with Philly.

I, personally, tend to not care who signs with Philly. I care about the Boys. Historically my comments have been focused on our beloved Boys. That said, he would have been a good story regardless of where he signed.

The jury clearly believed that the sex was consensual, but because Brown was viewed as underage according to state law, jurors found Dixon guilty of statutory rape, a misdemeanor, and aggravated child molestation, a felony.

And the Supreme Court of GA said he shouldn't have even been tried for the felony much less be convicted. He was summarily released from prison.

Mistake? If that was a mistake I am sure many of us have made the same one. I snuck in the window of my 15 yr old GF back when I was 17 3/4 and shucking morning papers. 3 to 4 times a week I would toss my papers at 5 am, tap on her window at 6am, tap something else once she snuck to the front door and let me in til 6:30-6:45am, tiptoe back out through the front door, and ride my bike back home to shower and get ready for school. I guess I should also mention her mother was a teacher at the school and I often rode with "them" to school. Yeah. I reveal that story because I know many others have done much worse as teens. I don't consider anything that transpired during that period of time a mistake. It was all a learning experience. When liasons of this type are made at HS people are not thinking about the law.. especially when they're both under 18.

Another kid in Georgia just got out of jail for the same thing. 17 year old having sex with a 15 year old (consentual) and the girls parents freak out about it and he got 10 years which later was overturned after he served free.

Of course the DA's will never admit that they went overboard. Sad, sad story.

Trust me when I say that I worry about karma every day. My wife tells me it will come back and bite me one day. All I can do is stay as involved in the lives of my children as possible. That's a lot more involved than my parents were in mine.

Oh, btw, I did eventually get caught one morning when we got a little too rambunctious. Her father opened her door and asked her what she was doing. I rolled to the floor and got the **** outta there after he closed the door and went back to his room. Needless to say, our relationship (and the rides to school) forcefully ended that day. :

Here's an article posted by someone that claims to be "close to the case". The person is obviously slanted against Marcus. Feel free to spice up the replies if you'd like (or just read on). This is a very intriguing story. Oh... & I don't think for one moment that's actually Marcus dancing in that video since the guy dancing is obvious white or perhaps a very light skinned black guy. Marcus will never pass for "light skinned". Draw your own conclusions...

I have a 15 year old daughter right now. I can post a picture if you think I am lying. The boy she is most interested in and who is most interested in her is Black and about a year older. I am not so naive as to think that physical emotions I went through at their age are exempt from them. Would I like it if they had sex? Hell no. Would I want to send that young man to jail for it if they did? Not if she was a willing party to it. Would it make any difference to me if he was 18 and still in school? No, not one bit.

If this makes me a bad Father in your eyes, then so be it. I can live with your disgust. I refuse to think only a young man is guilty of poor judgment. My own flesh and blood can be just as guilty. No man on this forum can tell me that at 18 years old they didn't have sexual feelings towards girls who were hot and younger than them. I won't believe you if you say you couldn't get it up unless she was "of age." Kids make mistakes. You, me, this kid.

BTW, I wonder if any 18 year old woman has ever been sent to jail for 10 years in Georgia for having sex with a 15 3/4 year old boy. I bet not.

I can't help but wonder if you had an 18 year old son and he had consensual sex with a 15 3/4 year girl that you would be supporting a law that would send him to jail for 10 years. I bet you wouldn't.
