Don't be so quick to assume J. Lewis is safe. He's better than some of these guys. But old coaches didn't like him bc he's small and it's obvious the new coaches like the same kind of corners

He's the one I'm thinking may be in trouble. They just resigned Brown so he's safe. The remaining CBs are 6'1+ 200 lbs.

You mean after his contract expires, right? There's zero chance he's getting cut this season for one of these guys. Worley and Canady are JAGs.

I watched Worley play at WVU and he’s a tough, physical guy who is around the ball and makes plays. He does lack speed and will give up the occasional big play but I like the signing as it brings a vet who is still young enough to improve his craft and he brings experience to a young secondary. Solid depth signing imo.

Probably six, possibly seven. We only have three worthwhile safeties: Dix, Woods and Wilson.

I don't think Chido tackles well enough to be a safety. I was hoping he would improve with a new defensive staff. These corners are not well coached.

Beyond that is makes more sense to move Robinson to a backup safety role this year with him starting next year after Clinton-Dix is gone. Or better yet, replacing him mid year.

These coaches definitely have a template for their CBs. They like big CBs now their stacking them onto the roster.

If Worley moves to Safety then I'm going to believe Nolan wants to have a lot of coverage ability from his Safeties because not too many back there will bust a grape.

Not to me. It makes sense to develop Robinson as a starting CB and just go get a real safety. There is no need to screw around with switching people to safety.

are they moving him to safety? ,he is not gong to survive in the NFCE with that kind of speed.

That is what I am thinking he is 6' 1", 215 lbs and runs a 4.65

He would be awful at safety

I actually think he would be better at free safety. His issue has always been turning around to find the football. I think if he could see the whole field from the safety spot he would be able to make plays on the football. He was mainly a safety/slot corner in college. Could be a reverse Byron Jones where you get much better production at safety. Then I would move X Woods to strong safety. Have Trevon Diggs, Anthony Brown, and Jourdan Lewis battle it out for the corner spots.

Worley is listed as 6-1, 215. He's bigger than anyone we currently have at safety. I think that's where we want him to play. If so, I think it's a good move. Take a player who wasn't bad at corner but was too slow and see if you can give him new life at safety.
