Not to me. It makes sense to develop Robinson as a starting CB and just go get a real safety. There is no need to screw around with switching people to safety.
Sometimes your simply in a corner, no pun intended, but draft is over, and MM is left with damage control from the JG era.
Its simply a supply and demand issue, and finding a solution for this year, is coming from within at this point.

I actually like Worley. 6'1" and 215 lbs, only 25 years old. I don't know the details of the contract, but I'm guessing very little risk here, and if you gamble some, gamble on size and youth. People are right, he wasn't stellar in 2019, although he only allowed completions on 53.5% of targeted passes.

Only 5 INT's in his 4-year career, with just 1 last year, he had a PFF grade of 64.0.

Chidobe Awuzie - 72.2 - 59.8% - 5 penalties in 1019 snaps played
Maurice Canady - 71.5 - 63.3% completion rate - 1 penalty in 240 snaps played
Jourdan Lewis - 68.7 - 68.8% completion rate - 1 penalty in 589 snaps played
Daryl Worley - 64.0 - 53.5% completion rate (46 completions on 86 targets) - 4 penalties in 939 snaps played
Anthony Brown - 63.9 - 60% completion rate - 3 penalties in 282 snaps played

Everyone please look at these #s before quickly writing off free agent CBs as JAGs. Lewis and Brown are the most overrated Cowboys in recent memory.

You guys need to listen to those who know something about the coaches and who they like and how they want to play defense.
They like tall, man up corners who are tough and will battle for the jump balls. Chido and Lewis don't fit their narrative or desires.
Chido may be given a shot at safety but, is not a lock. Lewis is just too short and will most likely be moved if a trade can be
manufactured. It appears they don't care that much for speed corners, just tall, strong guys who can muscle guys to the sidelines and
tackle. Changes are coming to the defense on the back end for sure. No more bend but, don't break.

Camp fodder. Gotta have guys who can play a few downs. Just because we sign someone at this point, there's assurance that he'll make the team. From what I'm reading, he's unlikely to make the gameday roster.
Its probably him VS Canady IF we keep 6 ( which we very well could). I think Canady offers more as a down roster CB

We are only keeping 5 of these guys
yes but one or two will play S and ST so many will make it..Robinson and Canady I believe can play S..we have some flex so can go deep at CB while grooming some at S..

Meh, camp body. Just like Canady.
Chido, brown, lewis, robinson and diggs make this team. Pretty much guaranteed.
Not sure how many corners we carry but the rest are fighting for maybe spot

I would say to those who think Chido, Lewis and Brown are bad, remember how they played in 2018, same goes for the linebackers... I think last year was an anomaly. I think the coaches lost this team and it showed in their performance. When you no longer believe in the schemes you are running, you won't succeed. This kid Worley sure seems like a safety project for Nolan at 215lbs. I just want to see this entire roster perform under REAL NFL COACHING! As NONE of the players that have come up through the system in Dallas have ever played one game under an NFL caliber coach. At least the free agents who came here have.
