Why not a DT or S?

We already have a DT who can make a difference in Brian Price. He played DT for the UTSA Roadrunners here in San Antonio. We got him from the GB Packers practice squad. He's only 24, is 6-3 and 318 solid lbs. He has a quick first step, can plug the run and is highly capable of getting penetration into the OL's backfield. Just ask Fredbeard about him, whom he recently logged a sack against in practice. That takes some raw power, m'friend.

They are getting rid of the 2 inside guys and are going to line up out wide with 2 on each end. The linebackers will cover the middle.

They would only be camp bodies just like this one is. They may have merely thought this camp body had a little more going for him than any available safety or DT.
