Gronk? Yes.
Antonio Brown? Absolutely.
Suh? Maybe.
Brady? Not sure he would survive the whole season behind this Oline.

PS: Stop deflecting bro. Those other 3 guys sucked. Period. End of story. Their time is over.
I'm not deflecting.

What I'm saying is just because the Cowboys free agents suck doesn't mean you should avoid older veterans because Robert Quinn, Cobb and Michael Bennett if I'm not mistaken were all at least 30 and probably was our best free agent class we've had in a long time(Michael Bennett came later on that year).

And you basically said you would pass up guys that helped the Buccs win a Super Bowl this year. I guess lol.

Yes, I would pass up on 32+ year olds.

Urban is a notch above the usual jag. 85+ grade against the run and plenty experience in solid systems like Chicago and Baltimore
This is a plus signing for the defense.

It'll be nice to see some "pluses" instead of the minuses we had last year.

Hey!!!! I like this signing!!! Well done FO!!!! I remember watching him when we played Chicago in 2019. He played quite well that game! Me likey!

I guess the Cowboys remembered that game too. Looks to be a solid addition.

Cowboys arent making any splash signings but at least they are adding decent players.

Yup, this is not a weak signing at all. Looks like Jerry heard the same name I heard a lot. He should anyway lol. We were in the same stadium.

Nice choice Fur, Daviyon Nixon DT from Iowa would be a good pick.

I think he would be as well, but he's more of a 3T, and I think we're set at 3T between Gallimore, Urban, Hill, and the other chap we brought in today (the way I see the depth chart at 3T shaping up).

Feeling good is all relative.

I don’t expect the DL to be fixed in one off season. To be honest.

I would feel good if they actually took the DT position seriously for once by investing a first rounder in it though. As opposed to second round reaches and thirds.

I know the cowboys DL isn’t going to be elite this season already.
I actually do. I think we are pretty good at DE and pretty good with Gallimore. We just need a top 15 NT to anchor the line inside.

I agree but have been thinking most of these DL signings are depth and rotation only. I still think one
starter will be in the first 3 rounds from the draft.
That’s my guess too.

Has a chance at a run stopping role

A run stopping specialist DE?

How limited is that player in this era? Is there even a thing as a known rushing down anymore?

He's a liability on the pass rush and with the way teams throw the ball these days that means you don't want him on the field.

You don't have a defense if you can't stop the run. Or do you want teams to continue to run for 132 yards a game against us.

With 17 teams looking for a franchise QB, the ground game is about to be highly important. The league is slowly converting back to the ground attack.

And furthermore, he's a DT. Not a DE. Meaning that he doesn't necessarily have to rush the passer (which he's not too shabby at). He just has to push the pocket to keep the QB in the pocket. Also, when the QB does throw it, he bats it down if he's near the pass. This is something he's good at and, btw, at 6'7", that shouldn't be an issue.
