The
Dallas Cowboys could use some help along the interior of the offensive line, and they’ve gone out and gotten some. A former second-round pick is joining the bunch.
You might remember that
Xavier Su’a-Filo went just one pick before the Cowboys traded up to select
DeMarcus Lawrence in the 2014
NFL Draft. Many beleived that Xavier’s athleticism would translate over from his college days at UCLA, but he has yet to make an impact at the professional level.
Su’a-Filo started all but one game for the
Houston Texans over the last two years, but they didn’t bring him back for a fifth season with the team. Since then Xavier has had a cup of coffee with the
Tennessee Titans, but they released him back during the finalization of 53-man rosters.
Su’a-Filo played right guard for the Texans during his rookie season back in 2014, but ever since then he’s been a left guard. The Cowboys have their own rookie at left guard in
Connor Williams... is this signing an indication that they aren’t exactly pleased there right now? Williams struggled through the preseason and didn’t exactly have a glowing first game as a professional.
We’ll have to wait and see.
