Still not getting that DT that is so desperately needed. We ALL yell about it before halftime and here we go again heading into a new season.(yes I know the draft is coming) Our LB's are going to get a workout! I am encouraged by an upgrade at safety and that # 10 pick is important we get that right. Hearing P. Surtain Could be gone and wonder what ol Jerry will do?
They’ve signed a couple defensive line players already. Keep up.

Admittedly concerned with the signing of 2 guys coming from a very poor Atlanta secondary simply because Dallas hired Quinn but the players have shown flash in the past so ultimately it will come down to their respective abilities to recover fully from bad injuries. At the end of the day they are boom or bust moves but given the short term nature of the deals Dallas will still need to find a young FS prospect in the draft to potentially partner with Wilson long term.

I do like that we're at least trying to address areas of weakness. Who knows how it will work out. Maybe these low-cost players will step up in ways other low-cost signings haven't for us. The success rate of this approach has not been high for our team.

I would have preferred to see us go after one legitimate young DT (Dalvin Tomlinson) and one high-quality safety (Josh Johnson) instead and fill those holes for several years, but I knew that wasn't going to happen.

You do that and you don't have to worry about drafting replacements for one-year guys and can focus on other areas.
Have you seen the terms for Kazee?

Of course you are. You crap on everything the Cowboys do. Can’t wait to see your take on the draft. Promise you it will be more negativity.

Yes, hopefully Quinn will push for defense in the draft, definitely need CB,S, DT, LB even DE.

However, these types of signings are the only ones this front office is doing, short term and cheap.

LOL....I find it amazing that my post was not negative but rather a wait and see approach given obvious recent injuries to players signed yet you slam me yet again simply because I am not spewing 100% sunshine and rainbows.

I made a logical approach given all the facts yet here you are again slamming people.....unreal man.

Yes you took the glass half empty take as always. I take the glass half full approach always. Well most of the time.

unlike you, still trying to get Micky Spagnola's job, REAL FANS know that nothing significant was accomplished in FA.

As usual

Yeah, I can see that glass half full approach the way you speak to other members who have differing opinions or simply offer constructive criticism.

The Jaguars need a safety as bad as we do and they did not bring Hooker in for a visit. Remember he was an All American with Meyer at Ohio State. It reminds me of when we brought the K.C. safety in for medical a few years back. Hooker must be in real bad shape.
Yes, Hooker is similar to Eric Berry. Cowboys probably saw more then his achilles in his medicals.

Now the secondary has 4 ballhawks now in: Kazee, Lewis, Wilson n Diggs. There staying true to acquiring guys who take the ball away, so that's a good start. All that's left is to add a starting CB (1st round) and stout competition at FS (2nd-3rd round).
