Not sure I see the need unless we're playing Irving or Crawford outside again this year. Of course, if we don't add a DE, we'll need them on the outside so maybe this is to prepare for that.

With Paea, our DTs were Thornton and Collins on run downs, and Crawford, Collins/Irving on passing downs. We want a nice rotation, but we've got a pretty good crowd at DT if Irving doesn't end up mostly playing DE.

Wait, so he is a perfect 1-T, yet we need a real 1-T?

Honestly, if he makes the team, I will be impressed. If we draft a decent player, he is probably going to be Brodney Pooled.

we need a early downs run stuffer like Tomlinson,if we play Paea in there it will not be pretty.

Solid move. Covers us if we strike out with additional upgrades but doesn't marry us to this player. Upside is he plays well in this system.

I'm not against the signing. I just don't see the need for it. The only reason to bring in another DT IMO should have been because the player was an upgrade to what we have.

If the money is not crazy, this is an excellent signing. He is made for Marinelli's defense.

His stats are not the best when he moved to the 3-4, totally wrong scheme for him.

I really like this singing, he can bring some juice on the pass rush and that is our biggest need right now.:oldcouple:

Eddie Vanderdoes mid round would be better.
