You know that Jerry can't help himself.

Especially when we are oh so close - Jerra can just taste it. We are on the cusp. Hatch back might be that one lil piece we need to put us over the top . . . . . . . . . .

Marinelli only has a 1 year snapshot, and thus loves Hatcher. I'm curious what the potential contract numbers look like, but doubt they are acceptable. Will stick to the "Don't pay age" principle here.

If we can get Melton for anywhere near the same deal than we are making a huge mistake with Hatch.

Unless we can get both.... Hatch was suppose to play the 1 last year anyways before Rat pulled his stunt

Nothing wrong with keeping your own, Spencer burned Jerry last year, have more faith in Hatcher of the two DLs.

I would love for Hatcher to stay on the team.

People are so desperate to improve the defense, but have literally zero interest in bringing back the one guy who actually played really well. I really don't think he demands a ton of money--at his age.

Because of his age.

He's been here forever and he had a really nice year in a contract year.

I don't trust that guy with a lot of money.

Derian was a good sized defenseman. He could have a place on this team.

Probably just to get an idea of how much he wants. You'll know when they're done when you hear how hard they laugh

A DT coming off 11 sacks is going to demand a lot more than a "team friendly deal", unless he is much older than 32.

Maybe not premiere dollars, but enough that we will be paying well for his decline years.

Hatcher"I'm going to get what I deserve and get what I'm worth," the 31-year-old Hatcher said, making it crystal clear that the Cowboys will not get any hometown discounts. "Age don't matter. Whatever. If you ain't talking what I want, I don't want to talk to ‘em."

Hatcher"I'm numb right now and whatever happens, happens," Hatcher said. "If I have to move my family out of here, I'm good with that. It's up in the air and I really don't care whether I go or whether I stay.

He wants paid, produced one season. It'd be nice to have him but he doesn't owe the Cowboys anything (as evident by his quotes) and they really don't owe nor should they pay him the money he is going to ask for. I can see this FO paying him though, that's what you do when you don't have a clue how to draft, manage your cap, run a franchise and lack a plan or vision on how to build a team. You go after what you know even if what you know could hurt the team in the long run.

Vikings not doing other teams any favors with huge contract to a mediocre DE. With 40 million in cap room it appears intentional and strategical to place some teams out of the market.
