This story refuses to die....does the continuing smoke around this "potential deal" signal a real fire? Do the Tennessee Titans still hold any of the old Oilers vs Cowboys resentment? The Oilers owner used to have a pretty sizable grudge IIRC. If the Titans are actually looking to dump Pacman, normally I would say the Cowboys are a good "other-conference" partner for a deal. We'll see.

I think at this point whether you want PacMan or not it seems like he is going to be a Cowboy at some point.

thats what i think. speed and shutdown corners on both sides. Henry playing the middle and Ken in centerfield maybe Roy could be Roy again. thinking of a secondary like that makes me happy in pantalones:D

That might be more true than most will want to admit.

I disagree on that. Part of the fun with this team right now is that there are guys to root for, worth rooting for. THe other fun thing is that this team has not made those big accomplishments yet and the fans want to be there for that, the crowds reflect it. From people I have talked to and things I have read the crowds were that way in 90, 91, 92 before anything was accomplished. There were no expectations and the anticipation of great things happening is as much or more fun as them actually happening.

After the team won the super bowl the crowds expected wins during every game, that is why guys like aikman got boo'd when the era was almost over. Some of the fun was drained. All the nonsense with that 90s team mostly came out after the winning started. The fans were already expecting wins when all that stuff started coming out.

The crowds will be great this year. If they just use the draft to continue to build this draft the fans are going to love this team. There is nothing better than having a guy on your team who is really your guy and drafted by your team. Rent-A-Players are fine and a neccessity in this era of the nfl, but you dont need everyone available.

Again I agree with everything you said. But the team of the 90's had some very low character people on it and they were still worth rooting for. When it comes right down to it. It's about winning. I live in Houston and I still here the jokes cracked about the crack wagon. Just like I tell them. MOST fans would root for a bunch of crack heads if it meant their team was gonna win 3 SB's in 4 years.

That may be the best statement in this thread, I 'm on the side of no Pacman but Jerry is going to do what he wants to do

On the plus side, if we're able to bring TO, Pacman, and Tank in and have all 3 of them turn their careers around, that's something to be proud of as a team.

If true, I think Jerry's recent experience with high risk characters may have encouraged him to take another huge gamble. Or at least give it serious deliberation.

Pac's talent is amazing but his potential to bring ruin gives me the willies. Still, I haven't made up my mind yet whether to endorse the move.
Potential to bring ruin??? Give me a break with the drama. If he screws up cut his arse. I'm sure any conract the guy signs will be laced with behavioral clauses.

We have an opportunity to add a top 5 corner/top 3 punt returner to this team for absolute peanuts.

If Jerry doesn't do this he's moron.

I agree A to D. Jump all over it Jerry. As for bringing ruin, he might have been a pain in Tennessee's arse but he didn't hurt them much at all.

I don't like how PACMAN acts, however I love the way he plays.

We need players and playmakers.

He covers both of those........

Getting suspended did hurt Tenn he left them with a hole because of his own stupidity. He let his team down and he let his teammates down. Any team who gets him better have a plan B because if this jerk pull his crud during the season another team will be left scrambling to feel the hole he leaves behind. Which is why I would rather make a bigger investment in a player that is dependable and can be counted on.

It depends. Every site hits on something now and then and every site bites the dirt too. This has had wings for a long time. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that he will be a Cowboy. I'm not in favor of it myself. I don't deny the guy can play. I just don't like the baggage.

By far, the worst source for any football news is yardbarker. They take everything right out of fan forums as ideas by fans and post it as a news item.

Don't know about the source but Pacman barking so loudly about Dallas when he isn't even in the league tells me his agent has discussed Dallas with him.

Its funny but Pacman is very much like the toon he took his name from with a monstrously big head. He is clearly an egomaniac.

He makes Deion looks shy and considerate of others.

If the RUMOR is true and JJ is talking about a trade I think it would be for this year. Makes me think he has indication that he'll be reinstated this year.

:starspin I agree, it he becomes a Cowboy, it "should" be for this year, but with Goodell's stand on Jones' situation, who knows how long it could drag on for. However, I'm inclined to think that "if" there is some truth to this rumor, then Jerry Jones "has" good reason to believe that Goodell is going to reinstate him for this year.

This is one of those things that I honestly should just accept is going to happen and prepare for it.

Everytime, during my span as a Cowboys fan, there has been a player I didn't want the Cowboys to get, for one reason or another, they wound up playing for Dallas.

Deion Sanders was the first. Now, don't get me wrong, I wasn't blind to the fact that Sanders was fantastically gifted. I knew he'd be an INSTANT mega addition but something about his attitude, especially his one year in San Fran, made me REALLY not want him to ever be a Cowboy.

Well, low and behold, of course he's a Cowboy that next year. Now the second one was T.O. I'll firmly admit that from the day he danced on the star I was anti-T.O. to the hilt. I didn't like, couldn't stand him, and NEVER wanted to see him in Dallas. But, once again, of course he wound up here.

In both those cases I wound up fans of the players, obviously, cause they came to Dallas and helped us win and, I guess, in some ways toned down their attitudes and such.

With Pacman...its different cause it's more off the field that I don't like, but again I know if he comes in here, does right, stays out of trouble, and helps us win I'll wind up being on the side of being glad the move was made.

But till he actually comes here, and does do right, I'm going to be on that I hope we never sign him bandwagon. Which, if history is any indication for me, means he'll be a Cowboy.
