I'm really on the fence with picking Tate in the 1st round.

I wasn't a huge fan on him, but I do realize he's a pretty damn good player and could be versitile for the offense.

I wonder if we traded down he would still be there at pick 38?

I would not pick him (or any receiver) in the first round unless I felt confident about handing over the kick and/or punt return duties to them. Tate is okay in that regard, but he is not known as a gamebreaking returner.

Tate would be more dangerous on those WR screens than Ogletree.

I agree on this point. Given our roster, a Round 1 wideout should have very good kick/punt return skills as well.

Tate makes plays but to me he is not really a first rd WR. He does it all and is great after the catch since he was a top HS running back. MOre of a slot guy= kind of like Jackson - someone you send out and will find a hole in the coverage and will make the D pay aftert the catch.

what are you talking about? Jackson plays out wide and Tate is much better suited to play out wide then in the slot.

Golden Tate is a stud. I wouldn't be upset 1 bit if we took him in round 1.

no doubt man. Top 3 deep threats in the draft, and a very good kr/pr. He's my favorite player in the draft.

A stud?

Dez Bryant is a stud.

Tate? Questionable.

No, he isn't.

If he was, there would be no doubt if he would be a top 20 pick.

I have yet to see any consistency where he is supposed to go. Some say late first, some say early second. Hardly "stud" territory.

Studly players tend to have a consensus opinion by now.

no, he's a stud. 1500 yards receiving, 93 receptions, above average returner, Biletnikoff award winner, versatile, arguably the best deep threat, if he's 6'1 he's for sure top 15 pick. Even now some mocks have him going as high as 12 to Miami. He's a stud. Just stop. Btw 'studs' don't have to be top 20 picks, thats by far the stupidest thing I have heard on this forum.

Yeah well so called "stud" receivers bust a lot so I am not so sure Bryant is all that.

Obviously your definition of "stud" is completely different from mine.

So to you, "stud" is pretty good player who happened to have quality production and won a postseason award given to the best WR in the country. If that's the criteria, Antonio Bryant was a "stud". Good to know.

Are you going to call him a "beast" soon?

Waste of time Jerry...Tate won't fall to #27.

He'll run a good 40 and be taken before the 20th pick.

And no...he's not worth moving up for.

This draft is not for dreamers folks!

1st round is gonna be HARSH!

BELIEVE IT!

LOL, nice comeback to all of my points. You say ' happened' like his production was a complete fluke, which is very amusing. And in college Antonio Bryant was a "stud" so I don't get *** you're trying to say. BTW you just answered your own question ' an award given to the best WR in the country '. Thanks,. So let me ask you, what do you define a 'stud' as? I'm very curious. Because of Golden Tate isnt a stud, I don't know who is.
