:laugh2: , there obviously going to meet with Bryant, I meant there not going to meet with players that they have no interest in. QB's, TE, etc. There were reports on DMN that Jerry had a strong interest for Dez Bryant, and as for sue and Berry they will probably meet with them as well because there positions of need. How do you know Jerry wont trade up for one of them? If they meet a player, it more often then not means they have a strong interest for the player.

Meet? sure. Trade up top 3? get ****ing real sonny.

No, he isn't.

If he was, there would be no doubt if he would be a top 20 pick.

I have yet to see any consistency where he is supposed to go. Some say late first, some say early second. Hardly "stud" territory.

Studly players tend to have a consensus opinion by now.

Obviously your definition of "stud" is completely different from mine.

So to you, "stud" is pretty good player who happened to have quality production and won a postseason award given to the best WR in the country. If that's the criteria, Antonio Bryant was a "stud". Good to know.

Are you going to call him a "beast" soon?

I don't hate Tate, or anything like that, but we have far more pressing needs than to take him with our 1st round pick. I wouldn't be pleased if we went WR with one of our first 2 picks.

I would if he's clearly the best player available. Add talent and let the positions sort themselves out.

no, he's a stud. 1500 yards receiving, 93 receptions, above average returner, Biletnikoff award winner, versatile, arguably the best deep threat, if he's 6'1 he's for sure top 15 pick. Even now some mocks have him going as high as 12 to Miami. He's a stud. Just stop. Btw 'studs' don't have to be top 20 picks, thats by far the stupidest thing I have heard on this forum.
Stupidest thing you ever heard on this Forum?, have you read any of your own posts?

My GOD some of you must be ND fans. Tate is a nice 2nd or 3rd round pick: that's IT. To say it's a reach to pick him in the first would be an understatement for the Cowboys anyway. NOw, if New England got ahold of him: I personally think that'd be perfect as he could step right in for Welker in the slot. But us? You guys are nuts...if we trade down and nabbed him in the 2nd round ok, but he's a luxury for us at this point: we have much bigger needs on the Oline obviously.

BTW: Miami bombed when they picked Ted Ginn real high a few years ago, I'd be stunned if they picked another undersized, fast WR at 12 in the first: no way, no how do I see that because he doesn't fit what they're trying to do there on offense: AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No receivers in the first round.
My man Fuzzer with the game winner. The only guy I would even consider in the 1st is Dez Bryant and he isn't falling that far.

Honestly Hos, if he fails to run at his March 10th Pro Day I think he will get closer to 27 then anyone ever imagined.

actually newlander there are very few Irish fans here. A LOT more Irish haters so you blew it again. Tate performed against some of the best D's out there and embarrased several of them. Of course owning Mays is no particular honor but still.

one practical reason why jj will be unlikely to draft a wr in the 1st is that by the time he pays austin, he's going to have a lot of money already invested in wrs. between rw and austin, that's a lot invested at that position, imo.

my feeling is that jj will probably go in another direction in round 1.

I really doubt that JJ cares how much money is at any one position. If he sees one he wants he is going to go after the guy. But I really also think that he hates to admit mistakes and going after a WR high in this draft is admitting that he made a big one with Roy so that may be the biggest reason of all that he will not. Tate would actually be OK in that he is pretty much a second rd pick and would be looked at as a slot guy and returner and the like. Not a #1 WR.

I hear Tate has only average hands and runs poor routes, but I didn't watch him play this season due to a tendency to avoid ND football.

You heard wrong on both counts, but to the former, he does drop some easy passes, but he also makes some great ones. He's a hands-catcher too.

its really dumb on the part of fans of the cowboys to let this stupid hate from colleges affect how we look at players that might come to the Boys. Like all this bs from the Texas limp wrists and the Okie toilet flushers.
