To be honest owning Mays is not that hard to do.

I'm talking about the catch. Those are the types of plays Little Man Tate makes game in and game out.

I don't hate Tate, or anything like that, but we have far more pressing needs than to take him with our 1st round pick. I wouldn't be pleased if we went WR with one of our first 2 picks.

Of course - but you kind of set that up as if owning Mays was the main point.

Tate would be a nice addition for Dallas. He plays much bigger than than he measures, and is exceptionally strong. I expect him to post a real good 40 time and have a high bench press #. He reminds me a lot of Steve Smith, but isn't quite that fast. If Dallas does select a receiver in this draft, I see it being this type of player. A dynamic player who is dangerous after the catch, versatile, and offers kick return ability...Tate, Gilyard, Shipley, etc.

:laugh2:I didn't make the video. I saw that game, so I knew what I was looking for with the clip.

You just changed my whole perspective on the draft process.

Tate is a former RB and heavy waist down, very solid. So he will give you very good YAC. Very good KR and PR. Second rd would be a good deal.

After watching that video, it makes me dislike Mays even more. He went for the big hit instead of playing the ball.

Once upon a time a long while ago in the NFL when men were men and big hits to WRs trying to catch the ball was celebrated, a safety could make a very good career even if he could not cover. Now that we play in the National MEOW League, that is no longer possible.

I would not pick him (or any receiver) in the first round unless I felt confident about handing over the kick and/or punt return duties to them. Tate is okay in that regard, but he is not known as a gamebreaking returner.
I absolutely agree 100%.

This is due dilligence, but I hope he runs very fast and is long gone. Let the big OL guys drop to us.

not necessarily, only with players that they can see themselves drafting. You won't see them meeting with any qb's, or TE or nothing of that sort. I have a feeling they have a strong interest in him.

Wrong. They have no shot at Dez Bryant but will meet with him. They will watch Suh and Berry and all kinds of players who are going long before we pick.

:laugh2: , there obviously going to meet with Bryant, I meant there not going to meet with players that they have no interest in. QB's, TE, etc. There were reports on DMN that Jerry had a strong interest for Dez Bryant, and as for sue and Berry they will probably meet with them as well because there positions of need. How do you know Jerry wont trade up for one of them? If they meet a player, it more often then not means they have a strong interest for the player.
