He does have some nice blitz packages Micah Overshown hitting the A gap would be nice, problem is he blitzes less than Quinn (this may be hyperbolic)

These wannabe gotcha questions lack any thought. Those teams lacked talent you know that, he put together decent defenses with the talent he was given. He worked under BP who respected him and went on to be pretty successful before burning out at the end in Minnesota. He has the respect and love from one of the best to ever play the game who players look up to. People adjust their schemes and grow over time. Zimmer has shown he can do that even running a 3-4 defense that he wasn’t familiar with. To me that’s the sign of a guy who can adapt and isn’t rigid in his game. So comparing what happened here in the 90’s to now isn’t even a serious comparison. For what we have going on for 2024 this is would be a good hire.
