This is just another great example of what this franchise has become. In the early 90s Irvin would make a list of players for Jimmy that needed to go in order to win it all. Nothing short of 100% would do. D Flaw would have been making a grocery list. The season never could end fast enough for that guy.
It’s 2024 not the 90s….let it go.

One of the most underappreciated players in Cowboys history. Tank had a productive career and gave his all on the field. He will end up in Landover.

Worst mistake he made was signing here. A team not serious about winning.
You need to open your eyes. He signed here because it was absolutely perfect for him. Paid like a corner stone DE. Treated like an untouchable super star. Never has to do anything of the things that it takes to actually build a winning team. That guy knows how to butter his bread. he never for one second would have considered leaving to go to a winning team. Do you have any idea how much work it takes to win?

Completely overpaid by a wide margin but that's more on dumb ownership. Dlaw was a good player who cashed in after 2 double digit sack years. The biggest issue with dlaw was his leadership, forming the hot boys, celebrating losing seasons like they were the ultimate goal.

NFL injuries are part of the game......Cowboy injuries are concerning.

Zeke's knee.....continued to play with an knee injury for 2 seasons, even though Pollard was on the sideline, to at least shut him down to recuperate, if only for a short period, as no surgery was needed or reported. While Zeke should have been commended, his play (perhaps beginning with the knee) was on decline. Result, Zeke been hated and hit with vitriol ever since. FO went unscathed.

LVE.....neck problems. Certainly his choice to continue, but he was drafted with neck problems. Jaylon Smith was unfortunate, and a chance that didn't work, as he was a high prospect BEFORE knee issue.

Gallup......back on the field too soon? Out of the league due to retirement at 28 years old.

Diggs....in & out now, and play has suffered.

Dak in a boot during preseason. Compensating the injury all year, before hamstring gives out?

Zach Martin.......hurt all year, and said so. Finaly had to wave the flag, as injury certainly reflected bad play. We saw Tyron Smith effect.

Overshown.....the question will be if he rushes back too soon.

DLaw has been around to view all of the above......this is a business decision, but rightfully so because it's not on the field of play.

Cee Dee should shut it down soon, no need to make it worse. FO isn't going to tell Cee Dee to shut it down.

The truth of the matter is FO needs to work on player development for depth and select in the draft for more immediate help, instead of project years that go too long.

I'd love to see DLaw come back at a lower price deal and likely as a rotational piece. The issue is the Cowboys DE depth is quietly getting crowded very quick. You have Parsons, Kneeland, and Sam Williams likely all to be penciled onto the roster for 2025. I'd think you likely see 1 of DLaw, Golston, Lawson brought back and then you probably fill in that last spot with a rookie.

Every single time this team makes a resurgence it is when we finally stop clinging to the failures of the past and we move ahead with youth and hope. D Flaw is the opposite of youth and hope. He needs to go so badly it is crazy. I do not understand why people do not see this.

As for Sam Williams if he is to be counted on for anything ever in his entire life then we get what we deserve.

You don’t sound like anyone who has any idea how much it takes to win especially in 2024….

It has been 30 years. Trust me I have let it go but that doesn't mean I don't remember it or miss it. Worship your turds if you want to. My heroes are super bowl champs.
I don’t have athletes as heroes especially those guys from the 90s…you could aim higher if you are looking for a hero.

Is the issue that he isnt good enough to be on a roster, or is the issue that Jerry overpaid him? Really DLaw is a B player with injury risk that Jerry paid like an A player. At a reduced deal and role I don't see the issue at all. Dallas needs help at several positions so itll be tough to get a youth movement going everywhere. Unless they plan on drafting someone very early I dont see a better solution.

I have said it a hundred times. Physically the man is incredible. Talent wise he lacks nothing. On the right team at the right time he could be fantastic. As a leader he is awful. A selfish toxic cancer. Now he is old. He serves no purpose here other than to cling to a past that we should be trying to forget.

Ooops my bad I thought I was on a Cowboys chat forum. How did this thread get here? I was looking to pump Mother Teresa's tires for a bit perhaps you can lead me in the right direction. Aikman Irvin and Smith can go pound sand.

The "HotBoyz" were born out of the 2018 Dallas Cowboys defense. HotBoyz is about brotherhood & passing along that mentality to help our youth break out of the "Athlete" box we are put in everyday.
