LP is the least of our concerns. McQuaid is going to make the same amount.

Cowboy fans have took this guy for granted his whole career. ZERO bad snaps in his long career. Very few people can appreciate just how great this guy was at his position which often times is directly involved in game winning plays. I never thought that I would say this about a LS, but he was a great player and was the best at what he done.
I remember the dark days before him. I hate this. This is a genuine loss

After 16 seasons, the L.P. Ladouceur era in Dallas is over with the Cowboys and the club is talking with with long snapper Jake McQuaid of the Rams, according to sources. Ladouceur spent 16 seasons with the Cowboys and would have set the franchise record for most games played in 2021. He played in 253 games, two behind the all-time leader Jason Witten. Ladouceur, 40, did not have a poor snap in his entire career. McQuaid would be reunited with coordinator John Fassel and kicker Greg Zuerlein.

Cowboys signed LS Jake McQuaide, formerly of the Rams, to a one-year contract.
McQuaide, 33, reunites with STC John Fassel in Dallas after the two spent many years together with the Rams. McQuaide never missed a game with the Rams in his 10 seasons there.

Ugh

Does his position get into the HOF?

Sounds like Jerry couldn't allow his buddy Witten to be surpassed. That is why the Cowboys will never succeed with Jerry running things.

Instead of pushing your dislike for Jones you might try THINKING about how in Feb. there were a couple articles that said that Ladouceur has started to think about retirement. Maybe, just maybe he told Jones that he's leaning towards retiring so that is why Jones is talking to McQuaid and not doing anything that has to do with Witten.

If you guys are curious how powerful the Cowboys marketing arm is, people are genuinely upset that we’re replacing a 40 year old long snapper.

Now use this as an opportunity to think about what other players you may have been manipulated into overvaluing thanks to an annual multi-million dollar media campaign.
