This is the guy who predicted he would win the heisman. Reminds me of a lance Dunbar. Good space player. Highly recruited in HS. Anyone who was being honest with themselves knew synjyn days wouldn't make this team.

He was impressive the few times I seen him play for Baylor. Do not know how he has done once in the NFL.

Days, from what I remember, he was too slow from his 40. Never thought he would make the team.

Cowboys Release Rookie RB Days, Add Baylor Standout Lache Seastrunk
Monday, June 08, 2015 10:23 AM CDT
By David Helman
IRVING, Texas – The Cowboys churned their roster at the running back spot on Monday morning, as they released rookie Synjyn Days and signed Lache Seastrunk.

Days had been with the team for roughly a month, as he signed with the Cowboys after going undrafted out of Georgia Tech in May. He filled out the depth chart as the team’s fifth running back behind the veteran foursome ofJoseph Randle, Darren McFadden, Lance Dunbar and Ryan Williams.

Seastrunk should be a familiar name to many Cowboys fans, as he was a standout running back for Baylor in 2012 and 2013. He racked up 2,189 total yards and 18 touchdowns in his two seasons with the Bears.

The Washington Commanders selected Seastrunk in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft at No. 186 overall, but he did not make their final roster at the end of the preseason. He spent two weeks on the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad before he was ultimately released. He signed to the Titans’ practice squad in October, and he stayed with Tennessee up until his release last month.

On top of playing at Baylor, Seastrunk is a native of Temple, Texas – located just two hours south of the Dallas area. The second-year player could have an early opportunity to earn some reps, as both McFadden and Williams have been limited by minor injuries during the last week of OTAs.

The Cowboys begin their third week of OTA practices on Tuesday, followed by their mandatory three-day minicamp next week.

Seastrunk played for Temple High, and was ranked as the #3 RB in the class of 2010. Broke high school records in the 100, 400, and long jump as an eighth grader. Best 100 meters was 10.33.

He signed with Oregon and was the subject of some recruiting violations (not his fault). Granted his release and transferred to Baylor after his freshman year. Memorably predicted he would win the Heisman, but was just one part of the Bears' offense, averaging 7.6 ypc over two years.

Was drafted #186 by the Commanders, but didn't make the final cut.
Was signed to Carolina's PS for 10 days, then released.
Picked up by the Titans for their PS last year, but was released from a futures contract on May 18.

The aroma that I get from his brief history smells like a self-proclaimed big play guy, but with a questionable work ethic and very little blocking or passing game expertise. I doubt he sticks around.
