TRADED Cowboys trade for CB Kaiir Elam from the Bills

Is he the guy Romo basically said the Buffalo coaches were afraid to put on the field during the playoffs? I think they were forced to at some point due to injuries in the secondary.
I believe you may be correct on that, although I am hoping we are both wrong.

Have to respect the Jones team building. When others are zigging that are zagging... off a cliff! Maybe work on the starting 22 BEFORE worrying about the 3rd string.... just a thought.

If Al Harris was still here I'd have hope for him. I think that's a main reason why Diggs and Bland flourished here. I like that we're actually doing stuff this offseason. At least it's something. He was a 1st round pick for a reason.

This trade is fine. At the very least he can play in place of Diggs for the first part of the year and then slot in as a good depth piece. Cheap compensation with a pick swap, and only 2.5m this year. At least they didn't overpay for a scrub. He can't be worse than Booth.
Dallas now has 3 fifth round picks and 3 sixth round picks.

Funny, outside of Rob Jones, and Williams the rest of the outside talent brought in were 1st round picks that didn't live up to the expectations.

From reading this pre-draft write ups on NFL.com and Ourlads, I’m getting a “better in Zone than Man” type of player. Also got that in the write up for Carson (and even Booth). Only time will tell.

I was just about to post that I would feel better about this acquisition if we still had Harris to coach him up, prior to seeing your post. It will be interesting to see if there is any regression from our DB group with him gone.

The crazy thing is that the Cowboys have been pretty good drafting in the first round lately. The fact that they had high grades on so many of these first round busts makes you wonder if they've just been lucky with their actual picks.
I don't think it's really going out too far on a limb to say, yes.
