I have not read through all the posts yet on a mega thread....but depending the trade, not a fan of this....for all you injury prone player haters....here it is....

Weaknesses There are questions about injuries (broken tibia in 2010 and torn ACL in 2011). There are questions about his pass blocking and receiving ability - both are limited and sometimes ineffective. There are questions about his character which caused him to be used in a smaller role during 2012, and also resulted in Michael sleeping through some meetings with teams at the Combine. He has also never had more than 166 carries in a season.

We'll see how everything works out but this is the type of move Stephen Jones had been looking for all along. You get a young talented RB whose strengths address what the position was lacking. Obviously not a perfect player and a team did just give up on him, but this guy probably is viewed by the NFL as the best RB on the roster now.

Exactly.
I don't get this as any remote sense of desperation.
They have saying for MONTHS that they are keeping an eye on , and have no way ruled out, adding a RB if it upgrades even in the smallest way.

Something like this...a low end move that could, if the opportunity presented itself...was totally expected.

If we were trying to trade a mid rounder or higher for a way more established back...say Forte or someone...then that would show they are highly unhappy with our starters.

Do I think they needed to fortify the position? Yes. Personally I did.

This guy is very much in the Murray mold.. I really like the look of the backfield now. A lot of versatility.

He's more explosive than Murray... Very few backs in the league have the raw ability of Michael. I don't know this for sure, but I wold imagine his sparq score rivals Adrian Peterson's.

I like the trade, too, for what it is. But Randle's the starter going in. If somebody can take the job, that's great.

I'm not sold that the team has committed either way. Who takes the first snap is not guaranteed to finish the game with the most carries.

I honestly think Michael can take the job. While I don't know much other than he's been buried on Seattles depth cart, he has talent and most relevant, there is so much left to be desired from the other backs.

no comment on losing edwards? how interesting

I was a little surprised that didn't release Bishop instead since we are saturated with DTs and pretty thin at DE until Hardy gets back. I guess that speaks to how they feel about their young talent at DT.

A former 2nd round RB by Seattle, Dallas gets him for a cond. 7th and some tools are saying we are 'trolling' for players.

Zone never ceases to amaze me.

yeah, those are probably the same people that claim you can throw a dart at page of running backs in the 4th round and be set

Seeing quite a bit of chatter from Fisher and others on Twitter that Randle is a pain in the rear end end and the Cowboys have concerns about him.

As long as we dont see Romo's head rolling around on the turf because he cant pick up the blitz, its all good.

That's my biggest concern with these guys, especially with all of the long developing pass plays that Dallas runs. To be more than a short yardage guy (less of an issue there due to the situation), he's going to have to block effectively.

Are we keeping 4 RBs now (5 if you count Clutts)? Also why was he sort of a failure I'm Seattle... yea there is the Lynch thing but... still 51 career carries and them being willing to trade him for basically nothing seems bad

Would not surprise me.

I get the vibe that McFadden is an all in team guy but maybe not Randle. Don't know that for sure
