News: Cowboys Trade for Christine Michael per Schefter

This post on the Seahawks board made me laugh-out-loud...

"Those on the Cowboys board are going bananas over this. Idiots think we got f-jax to be lynch's replacement someday."

We get it.

Any one of Lynch, Michael, Rawls will help us, FJax not so much.

Meant 45 are game day. Dunbar \will be on the 45 game day. Michael will be the 8 not. I misspoke.

maybe the first couple of weeks, but when CMike gets his feet wet they both need to be active for this RBBC to work

Oh ok. I was gonna say

I disagree though. I don't see a player capable of power running losing an active spot to Dunbar who is completely redundant with McFadden. Dunbar offers us next to nothing as a runner, and not as much as McFadden as a passing game threat to warrant play time other then a couple snaps a game. Even if Randle gets the bulk of the carries, Michael would have a consistent role on game day

If the 3rd running back Dunbar won't see the field much, why have 4 rb's active? Makes no sense.

Coaches love Dunbar as a receiver and on special teams. It is what it is.

So, does this guy have any ounce of fat on him?

Going to be interesting to hear Spagnola's spin on this. Last week, somebody called in to Talkin' Cowboys and specifically mentioned Michael. Spags gave his typical answer "Why would we want the 3rd string RB for Seattle if they don't want him?".
I am sure this week he will be calling this the best trade since the Herschel Walker deal.

If Michaels has any NFL ability whatsoever he'll emerge as the starter here. The backs in Dallas are crap.

He can't start if he's not a reliable blocker in the passing game...and if there are questions about erratic effort and ball handling.

I'd rather we'd given up a higher pick and gotten more of a sure-thing player.

I don't think any of them can handle more than 10-15 touches. It will take all 4 to make this offense work.

I would prefer something more than a RB blind siding a player who's already engaged with a OT. I can do that.

He wasn't brought in for his pass blocking abilities. From what I've read, and this is from Seahawks fans, he's not very good in that department.

This is a pure runner, guys. He's going to see the field this year at some point.

Christine Michael has 52 career carries with 1 fumble.

Evidently, I got hold of a highly erroneous website. I looked it up again and found exactly what you did. Thks.

Now, perhaps he did have some fumbles in the 2015 preseason but obviously, they don't count.
