Both bring veteran leadership to both sides of the line, and that was needed on this roster.

He is. He’s a 1T run stuffer. He’s not going to get sacks but he takes on two blockers and eats space

As the 1-tech, he's not going to put up huge tackle numbers. We just need him to stand up the blocker and force the running back to have to go around him, allowing someone else to clean it up.

Thats right, taking up space and not giving up ground at the point of contact upon snap.
If he does that, then we have a true 1 tech in house, but if he can also be disruptive, get up field and make some plays then Q and this defense strike gold.
