He has 2.5 sacks on the year and he has been sitting on the bench most of the year in NE.

Our $100 million dollar DE has exactly 1 more sack than Bennett, 3.5 on the season.

Let that sink in......the guy you say is washed up and has been riding pine all year with the Pats has 1 sack less than our $100 million dollar DE.

I stand by my statement. Maybe a rotation will help him be the best depth at the position they've had since Jeffcoat. Maybe.

He didn't relapse, he took longer to reapply before. He has certain conditions he has to meet and he wants to make sure he has everything in order.

I am not trying to be an *** but how do you know he hasn’t relapse, are you a personal friend or have first hand knowledge. Yes he took longer before has you said because he was actually recovering. This time was suppose to just be a missed test so there shouldn’t be any reason to delay the filing. And if there is one the only thing I can think of is that he has had a relapse.

Hey I hope I am wrong but for him to wait is a very serious red flag to me.

You don't know Bennett either. Trying to draw parallels between Bennett and a Epstein tells me all I need to know about you.
You bad mouth a man who gives his time to helping others just because you don't agree with some of his opinions. I couldn't care less what charity you prefer. Go start a charity and give your free time to helping instead of trying to sound like a tough guy on a message board.

I'm not interested in your sympathy. You attack and defensiveness in your reply just shows the weakness and insecurity in you.

Insecure I am not. At all. You sound like a gentle soul. Go enjoy some soy milk.

Exactly!

If Garrett doesn't make the playoffs, he is gone.................at this point, Garrett doesn't give a dam about lockerroom culture, he needs Ws.

Well remember back when we signed hardy. The front office discusses these moves and its not real clear if Garrett signs off or just accepts that it's happening. So we know Garrett is willing to endure this knucklehead even if he doesn't want to but then there is the Kris factor. Richard has got to be signing off on the guy being worth any perceived risk. And that risk is what, we win some games lose a 6th rounder or he opens his mouth and we cut him costing a 7th rounder. They just injected life to the interior of our defense for nothing, that will be exciting come game day.

Well you might better get used to dealing with the Pats you might see more of it Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft are best of friends Jerry actually helped Robert lay out the blueprint for the Patriots when he became their owner he leaned on Jerry heavily. And very quickly the student became the master I'm talking business side of things

I did not know that about those two.

I hate this dude. I guess if he helps the team I'm ok with but man he could really be pain.

I don't like him either. I think he's an absolute dh. With that being said, surrendering the pick we conceded is a good value for him and means we can get rid of him whenever we feel like it if he stirs up too much trouble.

sometimes you need some not so nice people to man your dline/oline...JUST THE WAY IT IS. This move was a no brainer. We added an outright enforcer and thug, that has no issue kicking a team mates arse if he don't do his job. HE WILL SPEAK UP. He actually makes GARRETT accountable too. NO MORE EXCUSES.

Michael Bennett was a positional misfit in the Pats 3-4 defense, whereas he should be considerably more effective in Dallas' 4-3. In NE, he was being used a mere 35% of the time and accounted for 2.5 sacks in 7 games. At 6-4 and 275 lbs., he'd also be useful in run coverage.

There's little to no doubt about his being acquired to replace Tyrone Crawford, currently on IR, due to hip surgery and the rehab to follow. The cost was minimal. His production is likely to be well worth the 7th round pick that could possibly turn into a 6th in 2021. Let's see where that takes us in the last half of the season. Bennet's first gameday destination will be Monday, Nov. 4th, vs. the NY Giants in the Meadowlands. It might prove interesting! ;)

With the dreadful oline that the Giants have got, Bennett should really have a good day to get himself broken in with this defence. I expect a solid performance from him that game.

Right-O. I just feel that this isn't the last move we're going to make before the deadline. I'd imagine we will likely have someone else be brought in.

My main issue with doing business is that they don't need more help than they've got. Though, conceding a 7 is a good deal for Bennett.

Belichick doesn't give away useful players for 7th-round picks

Not useful for one team doesn't mean not useful for another. If Dallas wants to use him as an undertackle pass rusher and rotational end, Bennett is an upgrade to what we have manning those roles, players like Covington, Hill and Jackson. He's an upgrade as a pass rusher to Hyder and Armstrong too, and probably even to Collins.
