I absolutely cannot stand the guy. He's a first class punk in my book.

But he's also the right move for this d line. And the price was right.

Just gonna be hard for me to root for him even though he makes up better IMO.
Yep no doubt that he is a tool but if he can help us we take what we can get and if you base it on a Greg Hardy move this is about five spots above that kind of move plus I believe Kris Richard can rein him in a little bit? Let's hope anyway I think Lawrence Quinn and Malik Collins will make him welcome and maybe they can get some comradery going

How many players do the patriots trade away end up doing anything when they leave?

Chandler Jones has been pretty good. Logan Mankins started for two seasons in Tampa Bay.

New England tends to trade players while they still have some value simply because they believe they don't need them or have replacements in hand. I know they only got a seventh (potentially a sixth) for Bennett, but he is a 33-year-old end.

Virtually no risk because if he doesn't work out this year they cut him save 8.25 million and if I'm not mistaken just the rest of his 6.25 million this year? I would like to see if he could rotate inside as well I
His contract is guaranteed this year .

Why? It makes it harder to hold him. Especially since so many blatant holds go uncalled.
Remember when WR's would lather their hands with ridiculous amounts of Stick'um and OL would Vaseline their uniforms?

And now peeps are annoyed by guys trying to make their situations better through legal means.

Dude. You ain't savvy on this, are you? The Pats paid a ton of that contract.
Give me monetary details and then let's discuss.

Don't go full Nimrod on me now.

Edit: Dangit, I have company (from Philly!) coming in early tomorrow morning. I hate to take off, but I have to pretty soon.

Wish me luck through this next week.

He has no idea, but I'm taking him straight from the airport to Juarez.
He is going to be so scared!

Yes I know that but what I was pointing out that it was very cheap for this year and if he didn't work out and they release him they save 8.25 million dollars which they took on I think he's do 10 point something next year I can't remember the article exactly. I don't see them cutting him unless he becomes a real PITA we needed somebody to replace Crawford and what we had wasn't cutting it

This move will help us if we can obtain leads in games. If teams are forced to throw on us. A nickel package with Dlaw - Bennett- Collins- Quinn could be really good. You have 3/4 guys who can consistently beat 1v1 battles. He’s a much better version of Crawford.

Has Bennett even said anything since the trade?

Maybe he won't even show up. Would not surprise me.

Yes indeed. Rotating inside would be massive for us. Our interior is a problem for our defence. If Bennett can patch it up, that'd be brilliant for our defence.
