TRADED Cowboys trade for OT Broderick Jones

The only commentary I heard on TV about him was that he struggled the last 3 seasons with the Steelers. So this is another Kaiir Elam/Kenneth Murray type acquisition?

To give up a 3rd he better replace Steele and make Steele the swing tackle . That’s a heavy price . Now you have even less picks in 27 as you gave up the 3rd and 6 only get back a 4 . I would have insisted even number of draft pick swaps .

Pickens must have lined up with him wonder if they asked him anything about the player . The OL coach has to have seen tape he liked .

Maybe, there has to be something there being a former 1st pick 3 years back
I totally agree, and I think that’s what many teams think. I think like Lance, Jerry had to win a bidding war to get him.

But a 1st round pick Olineman who started every year for you and still has multiple seasons of rookie contract left… dumped for a mid round pick swap? I’ve never heard of that before. Maybe a disruptive WR or a complete bust CB, but Olineman are worth their weight in gold. Pittsburgh needed to get that guy off the team for whatever reason.

Just in, anybody no anything about him,,, Rumor is he struggled in camp with the Steelers

Please delete the post its already posted
Where did the rumor come from? You in on steelers conference calls?

I dunno about this. Chronically injured--serious injuries. He's had spinal fusion surgery. Last year of his contract.

I think the Cowboys would have been better off picking up someone off the wire.
He's perfect has all the traits that we want lol lol lol

To those wondering, the Cowboys are now down to four picks in next year's draft: a 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th.

They might need to trade down in the 1st and 2nd to get volume in a deep class.

Hopefully, Klayton Adams isn’t the one who wanted Shelton.
I don't think he was the driving force behind that. Watch the secret audio video of that pick. Schottenheimer asks Adams if he's okay with Shelton. I don't think that's a question you ask a guy who is leading the campaign.

But our OL Coach Conor Riley recruited Shelton and mentions to him on the draft call that he can't get away from him this time. He might be the moron.

Reading the Steelers forum they are pretty down on him and that's being generous. Hopefully he's . just an emergency/depth piece.
The same forum that was overjoyed to dump Pickens. Same college....same unrealistic expectations.....and they give up on a guy they completely mismanaged.

Give me Broderick Jones @ RT....and give him some help w/ a TE or chip with a RB.....and watch him flourish
