Hahaha what an idiot! Mingo wasn't even a starter in Carolina. And a 4th is just way too much. Any other team would of traded a 6th or 7th. Giving away draft capital that could be used to improve the trenches is just dumb. But hey this is exactly why I don't cheer for the Cowboys anymore. It's just comical at the dumb crap this GM does.

My thing is Tolbert seems to be coming on in the red zone he’s getting open and I think Flounoy can YAC if he was ever targeted .
Rush seems to have a comfort zone throwing to Brooks . Where does Mingo fit In ?
I’ll be honest…..I’m not impressed by any of these guys. Tolbert I think is a 3rd or 4th receiver at best. Mingo needs to be far better than that. Though he hasn’t been.

I imagine the same thing Dotson does for you guys.
#3 WR?

Mingo is not close to as good as Tolbert. It’s arguable he’s even on par with Cropper. I would much prefer to play Turpin more at WR then put Mingo’s butterfingers out there.

You just traded a 4th round pick for a #5 WR who may not make your 53-man next summer. There has to be something more to this

I mean yes and no. I’m not saying you are wrong I just think it’s too soon to give up on a guy. If you like him a year ago shouldn’t you like him a year later? Unless you are they incompetent?
I think it's more the fact that the Panthers realize they're so deep in the hole that they might have needs in areas other than an unproductive WR. A good example for the Cowboys would be Schoonmaker. He may be too early to give up on as well and I'm sure that's why Jerry won't want to shop him, but considering the team's needs to they really need to hang on to him just because they spent a 2nd? If I were Jerry and someone offered me a 4th for Schoon I'd say yes, because a largely unproductive Tight End is not going to make the difference given the teams current problems.

It’s hard to judge a WR when Dak is either dumpling off to Dowdle or Ferguson or going downfield to one WR 88

So the Panthers draft a bust in the 2nd but somehow recover from it with a 4th. Can we do that with our busts please?

Im losing faith in Turpin as a WR. In fairness to Dak he’s hitting the guy in the hands and it drops to the carpet .

Probably was gonna use that pick to draft the next Tolbert in the 4th next year. That’s their logic.
Thats the one thought process that actually makes sense. If they planned on a mid round pick next year as a developmental WR anyways why not go grab a guy you liked who was a 2nd rounder coming out. I'm not a huge fan of the move, but if you're gonna gamble on a player a buy low (sort of) guy from a bad team with a bad QB room is probably the best bet.

If Dallas could get a 4 for either Sam Williams or Mazi it would be huge. Or Schoon

I liked Mingo a lot coming out of college. I thought of him as an "AJ Brown lite"

Not a great trade, but he's 23. It's some activity.

121 yards off of 12 catches this season...And we talking a 4th round pick... Guy been there in Carolina for 2 years and they gave up on him already. Threw him into the trash can and Jerry quickly runs up and grabs him out of it. One mans trash -is another man's treasure...Taht's how we build a team in Dallas.....

I liked Mingo alot coming out. We got two more years of contract control for a guy that could be better than Tolbert without Bryce Young getting him the ball.

4th is more than I wanted to give up, but we need WR's going foward. Just hoping it crosses WR off the needs list

Dont hate it
Good perspective, a young receiver who was a 2nd round pick a year ago. Had an OK rookie campaign. I presume he's a player the Cowboys really liked in the 2023 draft and saw an opportunity to flip a 4th rounder for a player they had a 2nd round grade on a short time ago.

The trade doesn't get me excited, but let's give the guy a chance before we as fans knock the trade.

I get that they probably liked him in the draft, and Jerry may actually even remember who he is, but that’s not the going rate for probable busts that teams want to dump, and he is very redundant here with Tolbert and Brooks.

Throw in the fact that he can’t work with Dak for another month at least. Just makes no sense, but I don’t really know why I’m so surprised.

It feels like this was about Jerry just wanting to be in the news and claiming that this team has a shot, etc.

The carnival barker gon’ bark I guess. I just hope he stops here.

Just don’t foolishly throw away draft picks then tell us we have no running back because “draft didn’t fall that way.”

Sorry for the tone, I’m just pissed more than I ought to be lol.
