Jamal Adams is going to help the run defense a lot if they can land him. But I doubt very much Jerry will part with a 1st round pick for him, even if he thinks Dallas is drafting from 25-32. Jerry has been unwilling to use a 1st round pick in the draft for a safety so why trade one away for Adams?

and it's not the run stuffing tackling I'm really wanting, but more so the ball hawk turnover ability, physical over the middle presence and coverage ability to match up in the secondary.

The point is that there is clearly a price that the Cowboys could pay that would be stupid. So until we see the compensation, it's tough to know if people lamenting the trade would be being ridiculous.

I mean if the Cowboys acquire Adams for two #1s and a #2 this year, is that a smart trade? Probably not.

I don't think you can just blanket statement that.. It really depends on how much he improves the back end of the defense. People said the same things you are saying about Amari Cooper...you were probably one of them but I won't bring up old stuff.

You don't need to give up a 1 or massively invest to get a player that tackles well in run support.

The Miami Dolphins safety was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, along with a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2021 seventh-round pick, in exchange for a first- and fifth-round pick in 2020 and 2021 sixth-round pick, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday night.
