Cowboys trying to trade up to 32

If the thought of missing a particular player turns your stomach, then you're in the wrong business.

Or you don't grasp the gravity of losing a player you know will be a stud.

I'm guessing they have Dodd as their "Last of the Mohicans". A term they used for Frederick and Lawrence. Must get him. Can not risk the two picks until they're on the clock. Must overpay too.

The thing is, I really, really like Dodd. But no.

I imagine it's pick 101 which would be the first pick in the 4th.

Per the value chart, that's a major overpay. 32nd pick is worth 590, 34th worth 560. 101 is worth 96. That would dumb but when Jerry wants to move up, he gets those crazy eyes. LOL.

Do the Cowboys think titans may nab the guy they want?

What it would indicate to me is that we really value one guy above the rest and don't want to take the chance on him being gone.
That's exactly what I mean by overrating their drafting abilities. The more eggs you put into fewer baskets that you just know are the right baskets, the more likely you end up starving.

Best pass rushers left are Jack and Spence. Jack probably won't play this year, so I think they would be looking at Spence if that's true. Though, Fisher said they didn't like Spence's interview, but I believe Fisher about as far as I can throw him.

Boy you'd think some team would be trying to trade with the Browns to get Cook. Please don't trade anything more than a 6th. Unless this guy is the next Haley keep your 4th Jerry!

If they do...you know the next thing will be.....(name team) was hot after this guy, we had to go get him.

I'd rather have Spence at 32 if that's what they are going to do. Yeah, drug issues but his ceiling is higher than Dodd's. I fear Dodd benefitted from having Lawson playing on the other side from him.

That's exactly the point. You don't "know" he'll be a stud. When you get in that mode of "knowing", you're massively overrating your drafting ability. Smart teams know that they don't really know all that much, and act accordingly.

The Browns want more picks too.

This would be wasteful but it's what these guys do. You're 2 picks away for crying out loud.

Nothing this team ever does surprises me anymore. It's broken from the top on down and never getting fixed
