Jeff Cavanaugh made a good point yesterday that every position group on defense is semi-fixable just by having injured players getting healthy with the exception of the defensive tackle position. How do you fix the mess of Crawford, Woods, Poe and Hill?

By cutting Crawford and recouping that $9M in Cap Room. They could sign Snacks for half of that easily (if spread over 2 years)

You don't. These guys are getting blown off the ball every play and next thing you know there's a Guard at the second level mauling your already suspect linebackers.

Because they’re all attack types, and it seems like they’re playing more 2-gap. I always looked at Poe as a 3T type skill wise, but, because of his size, teams have him play the 1T/NT and think he can 2-gap

Hill is the only active defensive tackle. He is getting better every game, and I hope he continues to grow, but he can't do it alone they need to get some help in the middle. Crawford, Poe, and Woods have been horrible.

Evidently, the defense is a very dispirited bunch, who are neither sure of themselves, nor their scheme. It'll surely take some time.

I didn't know that. A team with a bad defense, yet good offense, signing a solid vet FA to fill a position of need? Preposterous!!!

He's on their practice squad. We'll have to see if he gets elevated to the game day roster.

When are you guys going to realize that Crawford is not going anywhere. He will see out his contract.
