Why would the NFL then have to make that person available? If the witness is pro-Elliott (for lack of a better term), why couldn't Elliott an his people talk to him directly. Why would they need the NFL to initiate contact?

As I understand it, the NFL is allowing Elliot's lawyers to have this witness give testimony by phone. I don't see why you think they haven't talked to this witness prior seeing that they (Elliot, his lawyers, NFLPA) are the ones that made the request
