No point raising our blood pressure. The offense is fun to watch, we got that...

But Nolan and "bones" have to get their stuff together...

How the heck can I be missing JG? I feel ill at the thought..

However at least carrot had a plan and understood how this squad works. We were built to be a RUN FIRST team.. two things.. we run the ball to wear down a defence.. we run the ball to burn clock.. we run the ball to help the defence..

Right now MM seems to have given KM the greenlight to run the pass happy hurry up offence.. and that just exposes are VERY weak (historically weak, truly dreadful) defence even more.

First step.. FORGET the Dak stat, player of week hype and go back to basics (see Browns for a roadmap..!!!) start running Zeke early and often. Use Pollard for speed. Use the free 30 yards from a touch back. Start getting the fundamentals of football right.

And for the love of god.. recruit some help for our run defence now.

I am not defending the defense at all in any way shape or form but the offense can’t take entire quarters off and give the ball away and pray the opposing team lets off the gas after a huge lead. They know how bad this defense is and they refuse to protect the football. They know every point matters with this defense and they still give the ball away like they are a charity organization feeding the homeless.
Dak with 2 turnovers but of course everyone will say they were not his fault.

I think the real issue here is the drafting of Lamb. The Front Office was too stupid to trade down and draft a defensive player. Lamb is a helluva player, but the Cowboys obviously lack defensive talent. So, they draft Lamb and say we’re gonna win games with our offense by scoring at will. Little did they kNow, they were going to have to score 40 every game to have a chance! The reality is this offense has to play perfect game every week for this team to have a chance. How stupid is that? Jerry, you are an idiot...

Yep. We spent our first round pick on a WR two straight years and used a top 5 pick on a RB when they already had the best line in the league and could have taken Derrick Henry in the 2nd round. Jerry is obsessed with flashy offensive players.

There's no way out of this for the Dallas Cowboys. Doesn't matter what contract they give Dak. They paid Dlaw, Jaylon, and Zeke big money and signed a mediocre head coach. They're locked into this team for a few years.

We can get out of Jaylon's contract before the 5th day of the league year.

Can and should.

Crawford will be gone too.

Only gotta eat one more DLaw season.

I like Dak, but to ignore that part of the 'herculean' effort of a comeback was to make up for some of his own mistakes too, is more seeing things through rose colored glasses.

Or if our defense actually got to the other qb, force a turnover some time and didn't give up critical score after critical score, things would be completely different. We literally got within 3 with a ton of time on the clock, but Mike gets cute with some pseudo onside, and the defense gives up an easy td and then literally gifts the browns a two point conversion.

Expecting the offense to be absolutely perfect while the defense does nothing at all is not realistic

However disappointing this season has been—and it’s been really disappointing here early—at least we can take some comfort in the fact that the coaching problem has been fixed.

We need to count the small blessings where we can find them.

Only explanation I can come up with is they figured they can fix the defense in future seasons but Lamb was a gift too big to pass up. I’m guessing like an investment in the future as opposed to immediate returns.

Ok, but doesnt Jerruh think this team needs to win now? Dak’s window is closing, Zeke as a running back could fall off at any moment. This team did not need an offensive weapon. Defensive line and secondary were huge needs. Hell, even OL was a need. What happened? They added to a WR Corp that was considered a damn good group with it’s current crop without Lamb.

If you were expecting some miracle comeback, then Jerry truly has you by the balls.

What people don't get around here is you don't always get those miracle comebacks. They are giving credit that we almost came back, and forgetting what and who helped put us behind in the first place. It certainly wasn't one person who got us in this situation, but some people are willing to give one person credit for *almost* getting us out of the situation forgetting he was partly responsible as well.

The Cowboys may as well play younger players on defense. We aren't getting anything from the veterans, especially the high priced ones. They can't be any worse than this overated defense.
