Tom Landry didn't start off winning. It took time for him to build a team with character guys and a winning attitude

Garret's close to that guys. Trust me

Exactly.............in fact, we should start clearing an area outside the stadium for Garrett's statue...........put it right next to Landry so everybody can marvel at the resemblance of their accomplishments.

Giants force Brady fumble - lead the NFL with 22 takeaways.

they are basically us from last season.Great QB and WR play taking them into the playoffs with timely plays from the defense.

Garrett is a guy that can only succeed when everything goes well around him.

When things go awry, his flaws are completely exposed.

Maybe it's just me, but I think the Cowboys deserve a coach that can think on his feet and figure out ways to get wins when everything isn't going his way.

Very similar to Chip Kelly IMO. His first year was his best year and everything went right for him. The team was unusually healthy, the starting OL never missed a down, etc. But once there were chinks in the armor - injuries, etc. - you saw the flaws in his game.

Ah, it's the old we can't fix the actual problem so let's pretend its something else that we can fix because it soothes my fan sensitivities defense.

Ya know what I think? I think the problem is the problem no matter how unlikely the solution. If you need a new motor, you need a new motor. If you can't afford a new motor, you still need a new motor. If you have a football team that's run by an owner who wants his, and his family's, hand in all aspects of the organization despite having no skill for it, you have a fatally flawed football team that will always be up against it to remain competitive with the sanely run teams. You'll have a circus environment of emasculated coaches trying to coach poor overall talent. Bathe in that scent of truth with this team.

I refuse to keep blaming coach after coach after coach that has the poor misfortune of being here for a few years under this front office. The same things you're saying now about these coaches you said about the past coaches and you'll say about the future staff. Nothing will really change until the leadership at the top does.

I agree with everything you said. But some coaches can win in spite of there Owner's, ie. Parcells, and most recently Harbaugh.

I don't have a problem with this. But I have no idea what to do. My guess is they will reevaluate at the end of the year.

I hope so, but I worry it won't happen for a few reasons: (1) he's got a ready-made excuse with Tony getting hurt; (2) he just got the extension; and (3) (and perhaps most importantly) it would require Jerry to tacitly admit he was wrong in hiring him and keeping him around this long.

I think he'll get one more year regardless of how the remainder of the season goes, at which point it's probably too late for my boy Romo to ever get his ring. That's why I'm so frustrated at all of this - we've wasted the career of one of the all-time great Cowboys QBs.

When a player especially a QB has to think about whether to return for upcoming season that's a clear indication they should retire. Peyton is getting beat up and this offense doesn't fit him. I'm sure he's sitting on the bench right now wishing he would've packed it in at the end of last season.

Kubiak has the horses with only one loss (about to be 2). His original plan was to run the ball, defend, grind it out... pass to a minimum... but the running game is broken. The horses still have a chance to make a run... payton has to appreciate that, one more shot.

but i could be wrong.

Everyone is bumping old threads from last week, its absolutely awful. No threads after a game, lol. They were always the best reads, capturing the true emotion of the wins/losses.

No threads after a game on a fan forum is a Jason Garrett type of call. A bad call.

Got to limit any criticism of the chosen one..................nothing is his fault, or so I am told.
