I'm really not sure how the coaching staff can justify this game. It's almost like the team just expects execution to get the job done regardless of talent. No need to get the ball into the hands of the elite skill players.

If you can't throw it up to a $70M WR when he has single coverage then it would seem that:

A) You've misevaluated that player and he's nowhere near as good as you've paid him to be, or;

B) You don't know what the hell you're doing.

Those are the only two possibilities, IMO. If you can't at least give your playmakers a chance you either don't have playmakers or you don't know how to use them. When it's single coverage, there is no other excuse.

During the times when Dez was rarely thrown to over the years, people would hang their hat on how defensive coordinators were scheming to take him out of the game. IMO, this was always a half-empty excuse because that's like the textbook definition of a DC's job and conversely, it's the OC's job to find ways to either exploit such efforts by making teams pay for overcommitting to one area or to beat such efforts through their own scheming and adjustments. Now, we don't even have teams double teaming Dez every down and Dallas still can't even make an effort.

But to go 0-7 with this team and in today's era of parity, even without Romo, is completely inexcusable. They should have taken 2-3 wins easily over the past seven weeks. Obviously the coaching staff does not deserve all the blame. Nobody is saying that either. But at some point, when you're the head guy, you deserve to take the heat. The buck supposedly stops with you. You set the tone and you set the gameplan. Without Romo, Garrett has demonstrated what a fraud he is. He's got to go, but unfortunately, he won't.

I don't have a problem with this. But I have no idea what to do. My guess is they will reevaluate at the end of the year.

people dont want to admit Dez lost us the game today,its a fact.he will win us games in the future but he absolutely sucked this game.I can never forget that last play where he could have knocked the ball away if he had raised his arms but he half assed it.

This is the worst part of it. Seriously, what the hell is the team going to do when Romo retires? Lose until another top quality QB falls into their lap?

Ah, it's the old we can't fix the actual problem so let's pretend its something else that we can fix because it soothes my fan sensitivities defense.

Ya know what I think? I think the problem is the problem no matter how unlikely the solution. If you need a new motor, you need a new motor. If you can't afford a new motor, you still need a new motor. If you have a football team that's run by an owner who wants his, and his family's, hand in all aspects of the organization despite having no skill for it, you have a fatally flawed football team that will always be up against it to remain competitive with the sanely run teams. You'll have a circus environment of emasculated coaches trying to coach poor overall talent. Bathe in that scent of truth with this team.

I refuse to keep blaming coach after coach after coach that has the poor misfortune of being here for a few years under this front office. The same things you're saying now about these coaches you said about the past coaches and you'll say about the future staff. Nothing will really change until the leadership at the top does.

When a player especially a QB has to think about whether to return for upcoming season that's a clear indication they should retire. Peyton is getting beat up and this offense doesn't fit him. I'm sure he's sitting on the bench right now wishing he would've packed it in at the end of last season.
