Don't be too hard on yourself. You'll be believing the same thing that next year will be different again.
Nah, this was the first time in over a decade I thought the team had a chance. Luckily UT looks strong this year, so will go watch them and again become a casual cowboys fan.

Why did they reverse the Gallup PI call in the end zone?

Just for everyone blaming respond inefficiency on play calling…do y’all realize the QB must looked off his receiver in order to help create separation? This was literally stated in early game when card had to do so on pass to Jimmy Graham. Listed to the announcers words here in the first ten sec https://www.nfl.com/videos/jimmy-graham-s-first-td-catch-since-2021-playoffs-puts-saints-on-board
My question is when will Dak stop staring down his targets in the red zone or anywhere else?

Although I’m displeased about the game and wept openly, there is a calming effect knowing that the team is back in their normal disposition….kind of like a homey familiar feeling

There will come a time, if we are serious about being contenders, that we will have to rely on Dak. Do you feel comfortable with that?
No I don't. But I felt comfortable with our defense until tonight. Right now I don't feel comfortable with the offense or the defense. This whole team stunk tonight, the worst team in the NFL just made fools of our OL, QB, WR's, DL, defensive backfield, :banghead:.
Nobody on this team is exempt from the stench of this game except maybe our RBs.

Pretty safe to say if you’re the guy who insinuated that the word “kill” in the context of a play from a member of the team meant anything more than criticism about their play than you really shouldn’t talk to anyone about “over reacting”

Sit this one out boss. Lol.
Even in that context, he doesn't deserve near the criticism you're implying he should.

You chose the word, not me, it has connotations beyond simple criticism or critique.

Of course you deflect from the first part of my response to you, which was your hyperbolic language suggestion that Dak threw more than one interception.

I see a pattern with your choice of words. Just throw out words willy nilly and then expect others to just accept them.

Defense getting gashed in the run, Dak throwing red zone picks, McCarthy looking at his play sheet like its a menu from In and Out Burger and you guys blame the refs for the loss.

WOW:facepalm:
This isn't talked about enough. McCarthy looked more lost out there than Garrett ever did.

I actually said “that dak pass sucked, and we should kill him for that” then said the loss wasn’t all on him and listed several other reasons for the loss. the criticism was directed entirely on that play….hence the word “pass” singular and not his overall play and also why I didn’t use the word “passes” plural or say his overall play sucked. I also defend dak fairly often.

So no it wasn’t hyperbolic at all…that pass did suck. It was a terrible decision and he deserves to be criticized and killed (figuratively not literally) over that decision making in that spot. He’s also not the reason we lost the game. Both can be and are true in this case.

Reading comprehension champ. Like I said…sit this one out boss.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of the game. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This team has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye Cowboys. I am no longer a fan.

Figured this would be fun to post again.
This time, I believe you.

Complaining about penalties when the team sucked? What good would withholding this penalty do? We would’ve found another way to screw the pooch. Stop this silliness.

That holding in the end zone that wasn't called a safety. Does the holding need to occur entirely in the end zone, or even if it's initiated outside, but completed in the end zone enough to be called a safety?

Took some time to cool off and although it’s just one game and I think I’ve seen more good than bad this season from us there are a few things that leave a bad taste in my mouth:

- RZ offense is by far the biggest issue. We would’ve dog walked them even with the bad defense had we scored TDs during our trips. I chalked last week up to milking the clock but now I’m under the impression that that was not the case

- OL health has been ridiculously unlucky but at the same time I still think some of these guys were rested rather than not being able to play which in September is absolutely ridiculous

- Misdirection run plays especially with mobile QBs always destroy this team, especially early in the game. We saw a few times last year this team can become overly focused on a pass rush and end up not playing run containment

Dallas is lucky they didn’t lose by more honestly which is crazy to say considering how bad this Cardinals team is on paper, but they played hard and earned their W today. I hope Dallas responds accordingly and doesn’t take any game for granted moving forward

Total failure by McCarthy and Quinn. I always say. Mike is good if he has talent and if the talent shows up. He won't coach you out of trouble. He won't come up with a great game plan to counter a good coach. We also need linebackers and DT's. Taco 2 was a wasted pick. Hooker needs to be benched. 2 bad games in a row despite the int last week. Tight ends...average at best. Another "JOKE" pick by McClay. WR's? Cook. too old. Better days are gone. Gallup..average. No speed with any of them. Guy in Miami knows what speed does. In Dallas it's an unknown name. McCarthy is no better then Garrett in games like this. No clue to what to do when another coach has your team by the throat. Zero confidence in McCarty or Dak. P.S. Micah needs to talk less and learn how to stop the run. Glorified pass rusher. Thats it.

That was the call they got right.

The missed PI on Gallup was another turning point I think a lot of us forgot about already.
I didn’t understand how that wasn’t PI. Face-guarding, which is not illegal, but only if the defender doesn’t contact the receiver before the ball gets there, which he did.
