Game Day Cowboys vs Chargers Game Thread

Yep. Garrett should of told him just go out their and sling in ....show me what ya can do ....give Weeden a chance to show his stuff... But that is not Garretts style...

And if he does that, and throws a few incompletions, stopping the clock, giving the ball back to the other team, then we're griping that we gave the opponent another chance to score against a bad defense, when we should have been running out the clock.

If you're terrified of throwing INT's in the preseason with 9 second left in the first half and no one on the roster challenging your spot, you've completely lost your nerve as an NFL QB. That was lame as all hell.

Your right. He played a pretty solid first half but that last pass attempt told us everything we need to know. His NFL career is over!

Should not have taken the dump down...and he did it twice...with so little time but could be worse.

He had probably heard that the Internet explodes, unstable governments collapse, and bunnies club baby seals if a Dallas QB throws an interception, so he decided not to risk it.

Go back and read what I replied to,,,it was in reference to 9 seconds left on the clock before half time...not the whole game.. selective reading?

I dont get too spun up about preseason, especially with backups starting the game, but this defensive scheme scares me more and more. There does not seem to be any gap control, resulting in huge running lanes, no matter who the personnel is. I hope I am wrong.

Hey, I'm just saying that was probably his mindset.

texbumthelife made a great point about it. If you don't have the nerve to attack in that situation, I question whether you belong in the league. That experience in Cleveland may have scarred him for life.

I cant think of a more secure backup qb position in the league than his. He could decide to throw lefty the rest of the game and he wouldn't get cut

You're right. My bad. Should have chucked in down field.

i love the excuses...

"this isn't even our 1st team defense"

you guys realize this isn't san diego's 1st team offense?

Curious, which of SD's normal starting offense didn't play? I saw RIvers, Gates, Floyd, their starting RB and most of their normal OL.
