Game Day Cowboys vs Chargers Game Thread

Weeden was solid tonight but the offense is too boxed in with him under center. He's got to get the ball down the field more.

Yep, i was waiting for at least 1 deep pass attempt on that last drive....it's like he's afraid of throwing far, which doesn't really help when you're a QB.

Should not have taken the dump down...and he did it twice...with so little time but could be worse.

This team went 8-8 last year with a horrible defense...now, this year's offense looks even better, so if this defense could just rise to the level of mediocre we would have a serious shot a making the playoffs...pretty darn sad realization if you ask me...

A realization that hit me after the draft, and then again after Lawrence got hurt. The facts won't change between now and next year, this defensive front 7 is lacking talent and A lot of it. All we can do as fans is hope for the best and by some chance that we have some warriors out there on that front 7 that can win not by there talent but by there work ethic to out work our opponents!

He's overtly looking to make the safe throw. Nothing wrong with that but as he gets more comfortable I'd like to see him take a few chances further down field as well.

If you're terrified of throwing INT's in the preseason with 9 second left in the first half and no one on the roster challenging your spot, you've completely lost your nerve as an NFL QB. That was lame as all hell.

That's a really good point.

I'm a little upset I didn't think of it.

Good half, defense made a couple big stops in the redzone even if they could barely stop SD up until then... offense looked okay.

Other than not throwing deep, Weeden did well.

Is it me or does Dallas NEVER look urgent or confident?

Randle looked confident
Weeden looked poised
WRs looked confident
Bailey is confident
OL looked confident

I think you mean the defense doesn't look confident. And they shouldn't be.

The entire organization knows how bad this defense is and it scares them.

His team is just casually going in to the clock the ball formation when you should be hurrying up. That's on the coach.

maybe he was afraid of a negative outcome by rushing it. hamstring, landmine, etc
