Cowboys Vs Commanders ***Official Game Thread***

This is why you put in your young guys and backups in a blow out. If he's out long, hurts their playoff push. Gibbs got greedy.

Why does Aikman throw the word "what" into sentences where the word doesn't belong? "The Commanders are more prepared than what the Cowboys are." Who taught him English? How about, "The Commanders are more prepared than the Cowboys."? Jimmy Johnson does the same thing. Anyone else ever notice this? Aikman does it a lot.

Before today, I was rooting for the Skins to beat the Giants next week. Now I've got to root for the Giants...what a crazy world we live in :)
Yep, BIIIIIIG G Men fan next week :banghead: :banghead:

Gibbs should have taken him out instead of trying to embarass us more.

Did our OL decide to play this half or did the refs just get tired of throwing flags?

Don't like to see injuries, or a blowout, but you pull your guys in a blowout. That's what happens Gibbs, idiot.

against an intense (well, maybe not so intense today) division rival, 8 minutes left in the game is just a bit too much time left before you start pulling out linemen.....skill position players? sure.....but not linemen.

I imagine your arm must get tired after reaching back and throwing 15-20 times.

I just don't understand how this team has fallen this far this fast. You can't tell me that we weren't a pretty good team the first half of the season. We were all excited about how we were going to go to the playoffs, probably win the division, etc. But ever since the Denver game I haven't felt good about this team in any game, even when we won. The line suddenly couldn't block anybody in any type of play. It has gotten more hopeless feeling every week. Even today, despite there being no reason to think we wouldn't win, I didn't feel good about the team. I was expecting a repeat of the Giants game. How can this team be so completely inept when just a few short weeks ago we were good?????

ty....but the last 2 wins only begin to make up for the last 7 years of domination by you guys.

Thats nice of you to say...doesnt take away the humiliating feeling.

I think in a playoff push, up 35, then 28, you play safe. Run run run, make them stop you with all kids in.

It was a white flag raised by BP. We were basically begging JGibbs not to attack us any more.

Thats was dumb of the Commanders playing most of their starters in a blowout, first Portis gets dinged up a bit and now the injury on the linemen looked serious
let them get hurt hope they lose all the players why would I care

Fourteen games into the season and this is the first game that the Cowboys haven't been competitive. So, I'd say this team is above average. They're just not playoff calibre, partially because of injuries, partially because of lack of foresight in developing/acquiring the depth to overcome the inevitable injuries, and most glaringly, because of the lack of gameplanning skill from the offensive & defensive coordinators.

Oh and because this team has the self-confidence of an overweight, acne-ridden 14 year old girl with a verbally abusive stepfather. I wonder why?

Denver was an exciting game, but blitzing 9 on 3rd and long in the red zone was the downfall of the team. Coaching fell off, blocking fell apart the next week. Running was never around to start. It was a total domino effect. We were all happy to finally get a kicker in here (Billy) then he misses, we lose, it's all history then.

Did you miss the part where we lost Flozell? Dat? Al? Sooner or later they have to catch up. Today was that day. Consider the piper paid.

could be a serious injury for Thomas....in a blow out.
And I would have little sympathy for their team too if he is out for the season, especially knowing that the wise thing would have been to sit their starters for the rest of this blowout.

It seems to me that Gibbs is dead set on running up the score against us, hoping to make up for the last seven years.

And it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. ;)
