The defense bailed out Garrett from possible humiliation. We did a poor job putting the game away at the end, but Barkley gift-wrapped it to us. That's my only complaint. We should've put the nail in the coffin sooner. Great performance by the defense in all phases of the game.
That's how this team will have to be built. Through the draft. A lot of them were on the field and made plays today and have been this season. Would like to see more from Escobar though.
We're not getting the respect yet, but the teams we lost to were pretty good in their own right. We just rattled off relatively impressive wins against each NFCE opponent, have everything clicking on offense, and then some, and look to have sorted out some of the coverage problems we had early by playing more press-man. Today, the LBs looked pretty dang good in covering those backs and receivers underneath. I think we're getting sold-short a little bit.
A road in against a good DET team would convince me, though.
Defense played amazing. Romo did well in recovering from that interception. I got on him about it, but he showed up. This is the type of game we need to continue to win... beating our division rivals.
Defense only gives up 3 and that 3 came off a drive where Philly had starting field position at like the 30? Yeah. I'd say I'm pretty pleased with that. Good job D!
