One problem......Jerry hires the same kind of coaches(over and over) that play that soft zone......single high safety BS. Jerry has no clue what a good defense looks like.

And another thought...this "simple" defense that Marinelli likes to run that's predicated on effort....you might want to scheme up a pass rush for once. Stunts, delay's, something. There is no creativity to getting to the QB. The scheme is predicated on coverage, and that's fine, but my God, do something to get to the QB besides wearing your defensive guys out since they have such a simple scheme and they have to play lights out every play.

Is anyone else beaten down by this franchise as a whole. I'm not just talking about this year but just the franchise as a whole for the last 10-15. It's like I don't have any feeling about this franchise anymore. I'm not mad or upset or anything just numb. I love Romo and Witten but man I am just ready to see some new players, coaches, everything to just start over with this franchise. I feel like everything about this team has run it's course. Like keeping expired milk in the refrigerator hoping it will get good again. I don't know anyone else feel this way.

I'm used to it. I must have been dreaming last year. That's the way it feels.

I think the karma is because of Jerry . Since he made that marketing deal where he owns the Cowboys brand and doesn't share profits with the rest of the league. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think all 31 teams share the profits on merchandise except for the Cowboys so there is no incentive to have the Cowboys in a super bowl from an owners point of view since they won't be benefitting from Cowboys merchandise sale. I've always thought about that but if I'm wrong please correct me.

The head coach is ultimately in charge. And it is his job, when the team loses its star, to make sure his team plays smart, shows discipline, and he needs to get more production out of his team than their talent level.

Garrett didn't coach Cassel to throw a pick 6 when we were already in FG range, resulting in a 10 point swing on one play...

The truth is Romo masked a lot of warts on this team, most notably the coaching. Unfortunately, we didn't find this out before Garret got his extension. The truth is this team is not very good. Outside of Romo, Witten, Dez, Martin, smith, Frederick, and Hardy everyone else is somewhere between average and below average. it is very telling when a team teem that was 12-4 the previous year, can't even win a single game out of 6 tries without it's starting QB . That falls squarely at the feet of the Head Coach. Garrett wasted the prime Romo years and the teams best chance to win a SB in the past 20 years. I'm frustrated beyond all belief now

Garrett isn't going anywhere people... What other coach would realistically come in here and let Jerry completely run the show? No great, respectable coach is going to do that. That's why we have Garrett. He's just the kind of nice guy/pushover/puppet that Jerry needs to be HC of the Cowboys.

He'll be back next season, especially after Romo comes back, we win a bunch of meaningless games, finish 8-8 and Jerry says something along the lines of, "I really like the fight this team showed down the stretch of the season. We created a lot of momentum heading into next year."
