What we saw today was the real Rayne Dakota Prescott.

The "rookie of the year", the candidate for MVP and all that nonsense you believed.

Zeke, you glorious ******. Come back to us.

"Clayborn entered Sunday with two sacks through the first eight games of the season. He now has a team-leading eight sacks, one half-sack more than his career high as a rookie with Tampa Bay in 2011."

The guy has 2 sacks entering the contest....
This is the most ridiculous part. At least in Denver it was Von Miller.

Missed a chunk of it. That's why I asked.
Same here,as I didn't get to the bar in front of a T.V. till about middle of second quarter,as I really didn't feel like getting out and about today, but the game thread banter made up my mind for me,,,it was all downhill after I took postion and forted up at the bar as that 4 point leade quickly disappearedo_O

You never know. I have to say the Falcons looked a lot better this week than last week, and the Panthers OL is terrible. That's what frustrated me the most.

Jaylon Smith manning the middle of the defense on each snap could cure even the Giants' offensive woes. He is a sight for sore eyes - the healer of all offensive hiccups.

Too upset to run through it now.. but I would love to see how many yds we got on screen passes.. we tried a few but from 'live view' they all seemed to fail. That is what I think we missed most about Zeke.. he finds a way to turn a screen pass into 5-6 yards and more.. which drags the D out wide.. today they were just coming for Dak like a train.

Also thought we abandoned the run way too early.. it was important to establish that we were still going to run the ball even without zeke.. not just for this week but for the next 5 weeks as well.

Zeke is known for his blocking in the backfield as well... we missed that badly today.

Everyone will point the finger in different directions and all are pretty valid but as a Zeke fan that watches what he does pretty closely.. I certainly noticed how much we missed him and was actually shocked at how little adjustment we seemed to have made about his absence. I found myself wondering whether clapper actually drinks his own bathwater about 'next guy up' and doesn't understand you can't just plug another player into a Probowlers spot?!!

I hope we get Smith back next week.. and Lee too but I doubt we will. The next 5 weeks are going to answer all our questions about Dak moving forward good or bad. Right now it is a shaky start but still 5 weeks to right the ship or more accurately the bus...

People still going after Smith. The guy is recovering from a serious injury and has been thrown in before he's ready. Fans like you are just brutal and no you aren't brutally honest, brutally unfair. Yeah let's blame Smith for our woes. To me this year should be given as a pass for Smith. There is no way to judge that guy for this entire season. Is he playing poorly sure? but I'm giving him a pass for this season and not going to rip the guy like you are.

True, but #46 ran to the right, fleeing away from that constantly collapsing left flank,,,, he did come out after the half sporting some pretty impressive wood,,,god bless him:cool:

:starspin::thumbup::starspin:

Not only were those runs to the right but they were more off-tackle & less inside. That's not usually Morris's best situation but it was in this game, for a little while anyway.

I would love nothing more than for Jaylon Smith to be the awesome player he was before his injury. It also isn't his fault he's being trotted out onto the field before he's ready to hurt his team. This is strictly on the coaching staff and FO - they see Jaylon practice day in and day out. They know he is not able to do anything but hurt the team right now and yet he is getting significant snaps.

Jaylon is by far the biggest problem with the defense right now (in games where he gets significant snaps anyway) through no fault of his own.

Cut the guy a break man. He missed a lot of time away from the game. He isn't even close to the biggest problem on this defense. Guys like Brown, Byron Jones who have been playing are much bigger problems. Just stop with the Jaylon hate. It's not warranted.

Did you skip over my entire post? I am not faulting Jaylon. I am all for giving him a break and all the time he needs to develop and properly heal. However, in no way, shape, or form should he be allowed to play a meaningful snap in the meantime. He isn't ready and yet he's playing almost all the meaningful snaps in a game? It's absolutely outrageous and asinine.
