Cowboys Vs Giants ***Game Thread***

The ref trips Roy, giving a long TD to Burress.
The OL screwed up, giving up a safety.
Giants drive and get a FG.
Giants start turning it over.
Bledsoe lumbers in for a TD.
Bledsoe throws a pick in the endzone.
Halftime.

Basically we played like crap! Four sacks, on two of them the giants players came in untouched and one resulted in a safety. We dropped two interceptions one which would have put us in position for at least a field goal. Bledsoe threw a pick from the one yard line on second and goal. To sum it up we have played pretty bad and are only down by five points. On the bright side our offense looked pretty decent on the final two drives. We need to get the running game going I think we only have 20 yards or so in the first half. I think we'll be alright if we keep the momentum going from the end of the first half.

We are darn lucky only to be down by 5.

or darn good? I know, I know, gleam in a pig's eye

that looks about right according to NFL.com

is our run D really getting worked?

Sorry you got it backwards there. First thing he did on the INT was look at TO, then came back and threw it to TG WITHOUT even really looking at him. If he had been looking at TG all the way, he might of seen that he was covered.
Are you sure we're talking about the same play? I saw him staring down Glenn the entire time, in fact Matt Mosley says the same thing.

Dare I say that I'd rather have Brunell?

Shouldn't someone be throwing holy water on me?

I can live with Romo throwing picks like the last one.....But Bledsoe show know better.

Post of the night!

Yeah Two completely different personalities. But very similar in their stubborness and loyalty to "their guys".

Remeber we were down 6-3 to the Texans only to come back.

We still got 30 muntes left to play, and we're only down 5, not to mention we get the ball in the second half, take a chill pill, and lets see what they do to come out.

Defense is playing hard. A few plays given up but the Gmen do have some talent on O.

Oline looked like it might have settled down just as Drew threw the pick. No running game is gonna make this hard.

Okay everybody -- take a deep breath. This reminds me of last week in some ways (and in some ways not). Then we were down by 3 at half and getting the ball first; now we're down by 5 at the half and getting the ball first. In both cases we played poorly in the first half and the Apocalyptics and Romoistas were out in force.

I've said it before in this thread and I'll say it again: we're slow starters. We're at home. They're beat up. They hit us with everything they had, we took it on the chin, and got back up.

None of which is to say that we shouldn't put Romo in there -- I'm starting to come around to that idea. We're are square in the middle of this game, the Apocalyptics' dire warnings not withstanding.

Now back to the Gnashing and Wailing that you are rightly famous for...

Funny. I said the same thing BEFORE Bledsoe took the sack for the safety.

:hammer:

Same here.

I also said "Defense needs to force a turnover right now" right before Tiki's fumble.

Looks like my magic ran out after that one.

for me this is the worst part of this game.

the cowboys are at home, but it still seems like bledsoe is playing in a hostile environment. he is frustrated, flustered and has the deer in headlights look, and this is a home game. imagine if this game were in NY ?

that is enough to show me that at this point in his carrer he is backsliding, age may be adding to this, but he cannot perform under pressure. If you are going to be competitive your qb is going to have to step it up when the pressure mounts.

I just hope Peter King was right! I hope BP has the balls to give Romo the reigns. He's given DB every chance, and that's all he owes him.

I agree, he was going to throw the ball to Glenn before the ball was even snapped.

recap:

1) stupid Zimmer defense, covering other teams best receiver 50 yds downfield again with rookie FS

2) bad run defense, even with the other team begging to run out the clock we cant force a 3 and out and allow TWO rushing first downs to close the half

3) OL playing like total garbage

4) Bledsoe throws another idiotic, rookie like int in the other teams endzone when we had a golden opportunity to score a lead taking TD...Giants had no Arrington or Umenyiora on the field when the play happened, yet we chose to pass instead of trying to run it in

5) Parcells has same stupid "I have no clue" look on his face since virtually the opening kickoff

6) stupid offensive play call by Giants (endzone pick on 3rd and half yd when they were running all over us) is the only reason we're in the game

TO went in motion, at the snap DB looks to his right at TO, then quickly turns back to the left and throws it to TG.

Watch the replay.

If Romo doesn't get a shot here after the first half, he may not get a shot this year.
