Game Day ***Cowboys vs Lions Post Game thread***

I’m torn. The defender makes the good play; the offensive player makes the bad play by not protecting the ball. Why change the rule to reward the player who fumbled instead of rewarding the player who made the great play?
Because the defense didn’t recover the fumble. If it bounces out at the 6 inch line, offense keeps the ball. I’m fact anywhere else on the field offense keeps the ball because the defense didn’t recover the ball.

and then people are complaining it was a sloppy win and its nothing to be proud of

San Francisco beat us in a much uglier fashion in the playoffs last year anyone complain?

welcome to playoff football, it gets ugly
Exactly. A win in late Dec is good as gold. Style points matter not.

Yeah it’s gross how bias they are. Why don’t they talk about parsons getting held 92 times they won’t. There is no longer journalism in sports either.

Regardless whether he reports or not he’s still covered. Still a penalty.

No. Even the booth ref said it's a easy call. Why are we even turning a nice half d fought win into a weird debate? All coaches take calculated risks and Campbell got burned. Instead of kicking it
that is right rayman....forcing that 2 pt play to me was sheer stupidity....but dont think Campbell cares first time lions in playoffs in many years

ESPN taking it personally that Dallas got away with the game....if the shoe were on the other foot, they wouldn't give two blanks that we lost and felt cheated....just shut the hell up about it.
If the shoe were on the other foot this place would have 20 pages of "we got screwed again" threads. But since it went our way no one is allowed to question it?

:hammer: .....Quinn should be grilled this week. Obviously losing a Super Bowl made no impression on him. Was more than happy to play prevent defense that last minute. We got beat....only having that official in our back pocket saved us.
The elephant in the room is DQ. Agree. He gets too cute sometimes. Mm called a good game .

No....it didnt work.

They scored a touchdown.

But they had to go for 2, which is only about a 50-50 chance, if memory serves. And they used up clock by tackling Detroit players in the middle of the field.

All that matters is the final result...

Hard fought I meant . Lol. Agree though

I actually don’t think we’d have to play SF of we win first week. One of those wild card teams will win.
Lowest seeded team does. If we are a wild card and the other home teams lose, we'd go to San Fran and Detroit and Philly would play each other.

Say it for the Boo mers in the back with their hearing aids out
Don't know about better than Romo, but Dak dropped some dimes in this game. Like a lot of QBs, his touch has improved over the years.
Way back when Dak did have accuracy problems, Aikman said "either you have it or you don't". Dak has a much better deep ball and now has a lot better touch and ball placement. Aikman was just wrong.

The Cowboys played awful and still won. Concerned about the running game. I think our blocking is out of wack along with the play design. Dak and CeeDee is lethal.

We didn't win the game because of that defensive series. We won in spite of it. It was an idiotic scheme and it almost cost us the ballgame.

Goff threw 2 stupid ints, was under a heavy rush and heaved a prayer to his receivers, which wasn't answered.

That had more effect on the loss than anything else....

So pretty much the ruling was only 1 player can report eligible (this keeps a team from reporting their entire OL eligible). When both guys reported eligible one canceled out the other. The refs acknowledged 70 as eligible not 68. This created the illegal touch.

My point is Philly and Detroit aren’t both winning in the first round. Just my opinion. We’d play at either Philly or Detroit. One of them will win and one will lose in the first round.
