Game Day ***Cowboys vs Lions Pregame Thread***

Stopped watching college football decades ago because I hated the bowl system and the polls that decided the National Champion.
Playoffs helped a lot. Much needed expanding them next year will make them every better.

Overall this year there has been some pretty good games.

I believe this is a huge game. Not just for the standings but as a measuring stick. A good Dallas team that can make noise in January goes home angry after the last 2 weeks and beats the hell out of Detroit. That’s it.
Our measuring stick is a lot longer at home than on the road. Important game but odds are we’re going to be on the road throughout the playoffs.

Detroit runs the ball effectively behind a top offensive line; they are a physical, tough, hard-nosed team in the mold of their head coach…the run will set-up their passing attack.
Clearly Dallas will have the advantage playing at home and the defense has to make Detroit one-dimensional and start strong. Dallas is a front-runner and plays free, fast and loose when they have a lead…Dak plays tight and forces things when Dallas falls behind in the score.
Hopefully, Dallas wins and gets off the skids; if not, we are going to read how Detroit ran for over 200 yards and won the game; and listen to Micah complain about no holding calls…again.

The Lions will have a let down after winning the division last week. They celebrated their Super Bowl.

The Cowboys will be spitting vinegar after back to back losses.

All signs point to Dallas in this one.

I would still take Georgia over the Cowboys...

This will be a blowout over by halftime and if you even have to ask who, you just aren’t very bright.
You will be wrong! This game will go into the 4th quarter. The Lions aren’t a chump team. They’ve only been blown out once this season by the Ravens. The Cowboys better be ready to play or Detroit will run down our throat with Gibbs.

He should. He holds all the time.

If you're a fan of the 90's Teams, would encourage you to watch the Pre-Game Show on DC.COM. Nate Newton is doing the rounds, getting all his boys to talk about those days and Jimmy. Jay Novacek, Kevin Gogan, Larry Brown, every 10 minutes a new guy. All the Coaches are there too, even guys like Butch Davis who haven't seen much since those days.

Even Stephen Jones looks revitalized with the 90's squad back. Talking about kharma and all, I think he believes the curse going to be lifted too. LOL

They just showed Prescott.

You already know.

How small does the moment have to be for him?
