spiking the ball is giving up, the down was more important with a timeout in our back pocket and the defense on its heels

if you couldn't see exactly what happened playing out after we spiked it, you don't watch much football
No, Aaron Rodgers is just that good. I know we hate it, but it's the truth.
Green Bay has been playing the last month while we were resting players and taking byes.

This was painful. I seriously need to stop going to these games as the Cowboys are 2-9 when I'm in attendance. This **** is back breaking. Now I have to hear all he ******** on this flight back and the moment I land in NY it's over. Now to mention work.

Same. Only a passing interest now. More about pulling against teams for me

I seriously haven't watched a Super Bowl since 1995. I'm done with football until Draft and Cowboys camps. I support my Cowboys but I won't support the NFL, Goodell, or the league offices horribly set up and rigged Super Bowls. There is a reason that all of Goodell's closest buddies are always winning the Super Bowls.

Yeah, unless the Cowboys are playing in the SB, I don't watch either. Like you, the last SB I watched was the last time the Cowboys were in it. Part of it is pledging allegiance to the Cowboys and part of it is that it's just too damn painful.

Goodell hasn't been around for 25 years.

That's right man. We have a LOT more to be happy about and most guys will realize it in the coming days and weeks. I said all week....our Dline has to ball out or we could lose. Well...they didn't. Time to fix it once and for all. Our LB's and DB's are serviceable. They TRULY are guys, but that Dline is the worst in our division. I can name about 18 teams with better Dlines.

I hear ya and agree with future...

But we lost to a team with no running back... used a WR as RB.

The win was there... at the end.... in spite of all your correct post.

Someone tell Dak we lost

"We're not going to stop no matter what the score is, no matter the game," Prescott said. "It shows the true character of this team."

Agreed next year I could see us struggling. It's not often you get the 1st seed. This was a golden opportunity.

This was the 5th time in team history that it had the first seed (heard Spags say that on Talkin Cowboys last week). Now consider that this is the 56th season and do some math.

That comes out to about once every 11 years (actually its been 9 yrs since the last time, but that is usually how averages work, its give or take a year or two but over time regresses to the mean).

So sometime around the 2027 season, give or take a season or two, we should have this opportunity again as the first seed.:(

The other bad thing is we were relatively healthy, missing Tyron dez and mo for a few games but no catastrophic injury to Zeke or the other oline. That's bound to change next year

That is all the more frustrating............we were relatively healthy the entire season, no catastrophic injuries. We had multiple weeks to rest players, we were playing at home, we were playing a team that had injuries all across the board in the secondary and in their receiving core, and we still f'ing lost the dam game.

You don't get many opportunities like this in the NFL and we totally pissed it away..........that is what hurts the most:angry:

I just hope fans continue to support the team. It's not a gong show anymore. Dak and Zeke look for real.

OT: Is Garrett on the hot seat for 2017?

I have never cried after a game before and I actually shed tears after this loss. Man this season felt special. To be one and done after the kind of year we have is beyond dissappointing. I think this hurts even more than 07.

Devastating loss for sure, with the memory of what happened in 07 fresh in everybody's mind and then to come out and have a repeat performance............seriously?

It is unheard of for a team to be the number one seed two times and both times go one and done.......has any other NFL team ever done this? The last two times they were the number one seed they went one and done? Cant think of any other team in the NFL that this has happened to twice in a row.

Look at the teams left.. all led by elite qb's.. Ryan in that category for this season at least.. the other three are hof elite. We started a rookie. That rookie went 4 of 9 with a sack and basic Inception to start the game.. that led to a 21-3 scoreline.

That rookie played lights out in the last 20 minutes of the game but there is a very real reason why teams make it to the sb and why rookies don't win it all.

He was god AWFUL tonight. He was the defensive version of Brice Butler but even worse because he's a starter. Kid had NO confidence out there and looked physically and mentally weak. The talk of moving him to CB is.....ludicrous. He simply isn't tough enough or good enough. He couldn't cover their TIGHT END. What's he going to do vs. WR's?

This is what happens when you draft a guy in the first round because he is a workout warrior and can broad jump 200 feet instead of drafting guys that make their plays on the field.

Jared Cook made Byron his biotch all day. I have never seen a first round defensive back that cant cover a TE, how embarrassing for him:facepalm:

Another huge play was the holding call on brown. It negated another Heath INT. Brown did not have to do that . The ball was well overthrown and Montgomery wasn't even looking for the ball. Just an unfortunate play.

Yea, I don't give a dam about football once the Cowboys are out of it. I don't watch any of the playoff games if we are not playing and I only watch the SB because its more of a family tradition. All the family comes over, we have a big spread, and talk about which of the ads are the best. Nobody really cares who wins most of the time since we are all Cowboys fans with the exception of my brother who is a Tennessee Titan fan. You want to talk about a devastating loss, it was when the Titans lost on the one yard line against the Rams in the SB, my brother still has nightmares over that game.........LOL

Whoa, whoa, whoa there. Majority of this site would still take him over Landon Collins and call you a debbie downer when you have the audacity to bring up the failures of the '15 draft. Just be thankful for Jones' versatility.
