Holy crap! Yes!

This guy played like he belonged there.

Some players play for yearsssssss and don't play like they belong.

This is no RGIII flash in the pan!

That's right man. We have a LOT more to be happy about and most guys will realize it in the coming days and weeks. I said all week....our Dline has to ball out or we could lose. Well...they didn't. Time to fix it once and for all. Our LB's and DB's are serviceable. They TRULY are guys, but that Dline is the worst in our division. I can name about 18 teams with better Dlines.

I blame the coaches for sticking to same script as if it is another regular season game.

Packers defense came out with a plan to play 5 DBs, at least they found something and came with a scheme to limit our offense.
Did we come with an awesome gameplan on offense or defense to expose packers? or we going to take what the defense gives and and make adjustments at half time? That in my opinion will not work in playoffs, you have to have a game plan to give your team an edge and not battle from behind the entire game, that is where the coaching staff failed.

Agree... and can we start Heath? Every time he plays, he makes big plays. Either that or sign Eric Berry.

Jones is a bust. He is NOT good.
Would love to sign Eric Berry. He'd make an immediate impact. I like Jones, he had a bad game. I always question the Cowboys coaches if they are teaching players to be better because its seems to me that they get better but not good enough to be impact players. I just hope we can get some good defensive line guys who can put pressure on the QB. Man, we really need some defensive line help.

This loss and the way we lost combined with the way we lost when we played GB in 2014 has really put it in perspective for me. NFL has something against us winning. Don't know why the are so eager to go against the biggest money making draw they have but they are. And until that changes hard for me to get too worked up and invested on us. Wake me when they throw us a bone and call a big game of ours fairly. I mean it's always some ******** rule buried in the rule book that of course we break.
I don't watch any other NFL games, once cowboys are out. May be you all should do that too and screw the NFL and its ratings (remember the first half of the season) when they try to screw us with refs

It seems like we teach our DBs to NOT look back for the ball. Watch the Patriots, and is clear that is the Emperor's #1 teaching point for DBs. When you're beat, interfere but look back for the ball.

I agree 100%. Our offense has no imagination. I think during the whole game we went away from what got us there, the running game. Why didnt we use DMac during the entire game? Why couldnt we use DMac and Zeke in the backfield more? Why couldnt we spread their entire defense out more like they did? It gets me angry year after year that we use the same offense since the early 90s when everyone else has moved on.

Good post but... I'm no longer blindly going along with the "Byron Jones is good" club. I've been scratching my head all year wondering what everyone was talking about. My eyes are not deceiving me. He is a bust. He is not good. He doesn't make plays. Jeff Heath has more picks this year and played 75% less.

Did Jones even have a pic or a sack or a forced fumbles? Any thing? He's horrible. And blew it at the biggest moment of the game... and was the # 1 cause of us losing the playoff game.

He was god AWFUL tonight. He was the defensive version of Brice Butler but even worse because he's a starter. Kid had NO confidence out there and looked physically and mentally weak. The talk of moving him to CB is.....ludicrous. He simply isn't tough enough or good enough. He couldn't cover their TIGHT END. What's he going to do vs. WR's?

Great season. Wish we had gone farther but stuff happens. GB will likely win it all.

I remember 68 and 69 and those teams lost, too. I suspect they were better, recognizing the vast differences across those years. There have been many disappointments and joys over the last 50+ years of fandom.

We'll get them next year!

SO well said. The kid really did us proud. When his head hits his pillow tonight he should know he was fantastic this season. The INT on 2nd and 1? Linehan all the WAY.

When his head hits the pillow I also want him to think about what he could have possibly done differently on a given play or what more he could have done to help win this game today. I don't want him to be satisfied. Don't get me wrong, he played extremely well and is not even close to the reason we lost. It's just that what I described above is exactly the kind of attitude you need your QB to have if you're going to win championships.

Right, he made some great plays during the season but your right, nothing really impactful. He has alot of talent, but talent doesnt always make a great football player. Coaching? i dont know. its just hard to get over this. I really wanted this game to show the football world the Cowboys are back, yet its 2014 all over again.

Fair enough, but he was a rookie and did things NO rookie has ever done before. Great year, but not perfect. He'll be better next year IMO. Can't wait.

But more importantly we need the Dline to be much better. Draft some GD talent and horses for Rod!!!!!!!!

Falcons are the only team left I have no beef yet. So there's that.
At this point Im just like anybody, but New England. I'd rather see GB get 5 than the Patsies, but they're so one dimensional on offense and depleted on defense I dont trust em. Atlanta can score on anybody. That's my only hope.

I honestly just don't see the talent. He might be a good athlete if that's what you mean. And you're right... athleticism doesn't equate to good football player. I can't honestly think of one big play he made all year. I saw some plays that he made that a first round pick SHOULD make. But nothing that says, "WOW". And on the flip side, I saw just as many plays he DIDN'T make that he should have.

He's a bust. Heath is my starter next year. Dallas boasts that best player plays... we will see. If that is true, Heath starts. This guy is a play maker.
