Game Day *** Cowboys vs Washington post game thread ***

Although they would have scored 9 out of 10 times, watching Sean Lee completely whiff on a goal line stand made me shed a tear. The last time I shed such a tear was in Larry Bird's final season, although, he went out just as clutch as he came in.
Sean shouldn't be starting at this point. Rather see March starting or Joe Thomas. Joe had a very nice camp...kinda earned it. Lee looks out of position thru 2 weeks. He cant cover or fill the hole to tackle. Thomas TO ME, should be out there.

100% agree and this is exactly what I was trying to say in the nicest words as possible. :D

your welcome lol... nah but seriously..we are loyal to a fault with guys like Lee. But on the flip side, Witten ? I was wrong about him being JAG...The dude looks better now in this scheme than he has in 4 years. Did you see the seam route he ran yesterday on 3rd down for a big gainer? Looked crisp, and was wide open. I am officially giving a MIA COPA . At the goal line, the TD Witten caught was a beautiful subtle pattern...PLUS..SOMEBODY PLEASE give Dak some love for how the ball placement was on that! If he threw that ball a skosh late or in the wrong spot..its 6 the other way. He put the pass only where he could get it, on his hip. The pass to Cooper for the TD, same thing...tight spiral, a dart, with a defender draped on him..if he threw that inaccurately one bit, that's 6 the otherway as well. Reminded me of Troy in the first SB against Buffalo down around the goal line..same thing. Its those subtle things Dak is now doing that has me excited. I think its a confidence thing with him..he believes in Moore.

Jason may be a horrible announcer but he's a smart dude and knows how to spot a winner when he sees one. He knew that this team was a locker room leader & a few pieces away from being a really good team and realized that this may be his last opportunity to get that ring so he can share it w/ Tony.

I definately read your comment incorrectly, my bad. We have similar views I don't think you can single out a single best player at any position in football. Your team matters so much in the nfl and luck and sadly the officiating. Brady would suck on the cards or phins, Rodgers was supposed to be the next best ever but injuries and bad teams take a toll on him the officiating can only do so much without actually fixing the games. Mahomes is next in line. Everything possible will be done to make the rams and mahomes the next in line.

To add on. There always has to be the guys who should have won more like brees and manning, in a few years wilson, and the what could have beens like marino, rivers, romo and the types who never should have won like eli, ben, flacco.
I like dak I see the improvement , im glad hes our QB, dont make me do the TO Hes my QB tears LOL

BUT my eyes and trying not to be a homer say hes just now making it into the top 10 debate, I dont believe he will ever be a top 5 QB in this day and age with all these guys ahead of him..

Hes playing great I mean 14-14 in the 2nd half quietly was 18-18 at one point, hes definitely growing.. what else do we need BUT weve played 2 poor teams and another coming and now we may have escaped playing Brees? this start to season could not have set up better for us..

So I rather let all 16 play out because the tough games are coming and the ones needed to win a division and some playoff games, those are the ones that will see how far Dak and KM have come..

BTW I think people over look the effect Kitnas had on Dak..that was a bigger addition then KM being elevated.. its all clicking but I want to see 16 games and some playoff games where the team and Dak play like this in the biggest moment's..

I knw you play who on your schedule and beating the bad ones is the job at hand but im a sports fan and a realist, im not getting all hyped until the big games come..

The defense needs to step up now..the offense might stall a few games so it is time for them to win a few close games for us, I want to be battle tested going into the hard part of the schedule..

You realize that Dak has outplayed Brady, Brees, Rivers, Rogers, Russell, Wentz, Goff, Murray, Stafford, Carr, Winston, Mariotta, Cousins and Ben R this year, right? In fact, the only QBs he's NOT outplaying right now are Jackson and Mahommes.

So, as it stands (this season), he's already at #3. can he play his way down? Sure, but, literally (from a QB standpoint), he's in the top three of the league.
you DIO NOT judge aplayer after 2 games, its their career or their SESASON.. if this is still going on in the playoffs, sure we can move him up in the debates,

BUT lets stop hes top 3 when we all know hes IS NOT.. like I said it awesome hes improved and playing very well.. BUT you do not unseat the big élite players after playing NY and Washington, sorry but its the big moments that earn you that and doing it for a longer stretch..

again I fully support Dak, glass hes made a jump so far this year and we have that to look forward to, hes barely top 10 but thats a huge jump from 16-20 where most had him ranked after last season..

why does it matter so much? Jeez and you are wrong Watson with no OLine has showed hes better QB at this point then Dak, and a rookies after 2 games in KMurray already on daks level at what 5'9 and just getting his feet wet?

So Dak is playing great , lets enjoy it but lets stop saying hes top 3 , in the stat lines this year yes, in the actual career rankings , no..im not debating this all day..

we are 2-0 Daks playing great lets enjoy it..ok truce jeez dont make Monday like pulling teeth...take the koolaid glasses off and calm down , we have 14 left plus the playoffs..we can debate more AFTER those... :)

34-16 is a damn good career Mr. Negativity.

not NEG....I said not debating you have your OPINION I have mine, most of the league agrees with me..

again not a knock o dak to say hes pushing up from actual rankings not fan ranking lol he was outside top 15 after last year ranking, 2 games doesnt change that much but hes now making push into the top 10 arguments, thats great

enjoy 2-0 stop trying to force other fans to see your side if it..GO COWBOYS

So I was looking at Dak's 40-yard scramble - what caught my attention was that Dak saw the Commanders defender on his left, saw him and looked at him the whole way, and yet seemingly took no evasive action - what was up with that?

Granted, there was a Commander to Dak's right, as well, but why did Dak just look at that defender straight in the face and let that defender just take him down, not even trying to adjust his angle so that it would be harder for the defender to catch him?
He's looking for a soft landing. I'm partly kidding and actually partly serious. These QB's are getting banged up even when they slide.

Good post.
GB has a defense this year. They are coming up early Oct. Got that one circled as one of your "battle tests". We get through them and the Eagles, I'll feel very good about post season business.

I don't know about the sixes, but they were damned fine throws, and Witten has looked good, though a bit slow once he gets the ball. But still gets open and has great hands.

true and im happy but not geeked at a 2-0 start because of who our opponents were and last time we were 2-0 was 2015,

howd that turn out LMAO..:rolleyes:o_O

but hey 2-0 is nice..:thumbup::flagwave:

Dak needs to stop being reckless. Against the Giants he actually stiff armed someone with his throwing hand, and he's lowered his head to finish off several runs. All this after he already had a first down.

Most of the league does not agree with you let's get that straight right now.

Whatever dude but you're blind if you can't see the improvement and willingness to continue to improve. Our you have an agenda.
