Cowboys were the other finalist for Weddle

Before putting pen-to-paper with the Ravens, the Cowboys stood as the other finalist for Eric Weddle, Dan Pompei of Bleacher Report writes. The safety had a multitude of offers and before he was down to two clubs, Weddle weeded out proposals from teams that were not positioned to in 2016. One of those teams, according to agent David Canter, made Weddle the most lucrative offer of any suitor.

What is going on with free agents not wanting to play in Dallas?
We used to be the team everyone said they wanted to play for...
Now we are losing out on free agents to the Ravens and Eagles and Texans and even the Jets?

There must be a destructive combination of bad presentation and questionable contract offers coming out of our front office.

He looked at the ravens playoffs success over the years compared to ours.. You can't blame him for that.. Sad tho. He was a cowboy fan growing up.

I think the Cowboys are becoming "cheap". And I like it.....even though I complained and complained about not signing DM or having his replacement ready for last years campaign. And although I really like McFadden, that wasn't a "backup plan" to losing DM....neither was relying on Randle. I still think that was reckless by the FO. Add that to the "evaluation" and support they had for Weeden, and once Romo got hurt, it doomed us. And , yet again, the Cowboys don't make the playoffs....

I am just guessing, just a WAG. But not after giving DM "his" money, I think players/agents are looking at Dallas and thinking...well....I wont become a Billionaire there...

Well, I have always liked Weedle. I watched him play at Utah. I wished he would have signed but he did what he thought was best. Can't fault him for that.
