Cowboys willing to listen to offers for Leary **merged**

  • Before the draft got underway, the Cowboys re-signed guard Ronald Leary to his RFA tender, and exercised the 2017 option for center Travis Frederick. According to Stephen Jones, the Cowboys would consider trading Leary during the draft to allow him to start somewhere. Jones also indicated the club wants to lock up Frederick to a longer-term deal (Twitter links via Clarence Hill).

Id like to see a player for player trade for Leary. Or for a 2017 pick. Bad time to trade players for current picks. May be able to score a 2017 day 2 from someone who missed and OG run

Of they have GOTTEN calls that's great news.

Some OGs went earlier then expected with teams trading back into the first could drive up his value

Hopefully the Cowboys are just waiting until the best offer is about to pick then they will pull the trigger, of course I wouldn't be that surprised if it happened before the draft restarted either with the assumption that a guy they want will be there.

I like this but I hope if we draft Jack it is to play SS. Might be less wear and tear on his knee too.

I would accept Jack as a SS but would rather keep him at linebacker so we can move Hitchens back to being our utility backup where he excels.

They hold the cards. Especially if they are the ones getting the calls.
